  1. ...that was one loud and annoying tv-show
  2. ..better than waiting for the blinkumentary..!
  3. I agree 100%. Also, just wondering how you guys would combat this comment. The other day I was talking to my friend who is a casual fan of blink's stuff, and I asked him what he thought about the new album, and he said, "It sounds like a bunch of old dudes trying to write songs like they're in high school." How would you combat this statement? As far as I could tell, there isn't anything lyrically that relates to high school on the album, but I do hope Mark and Tom are writing about things that genuinely interests them rather than topically targeting a young new fan base. I also agree with what MSandt is saying.
  4. yea the stay together interlude was so pretty obvious intro is just the chorus I really like the little extra intros/outros and interludes they used to add to the songs when playing them live, it feels a bit like an off-key karaoke night when they don't do it. Foo Fighters are overdoing it, but I think Blinks shows would benefit from it, they have always been good at coming up with nice melodic bridges and interludes.
  5. I like it... glad we've got both bands to choose from! However, please stop using the Dry Your Eyes keyboard sound, we've heard it so many times before! It would have been interesting if Matt was allowed more creative freedom on the keyboard, from what I've heard, he is a decent pianist.
  6. Someone was the last picked on teams growing up. Soccer is ok but American football is way better. Soccer takes skill but the entertainment value is shit, I find the massive crowds more entertaining then the game itself. Popularity doesn't make a sport better, thats like saying Lady Gaga is better then Blink cause she is more popular. Basketball is ok. Golf is boring to watch but hard/fun as hell to play. Football is a great sport. Hockey is the best sport IMO. Just saying watch more sports Euro's. Oh yeah.... how bout that new Blink album? Just saying, play more sports Americans.
  7. Got to say I'd wish they didn't feel like they HAD to write fast songs just because the band is Blink 182. They're all nearly 40 years old now and it would be nice if they were able to take more control of where they wanted the band to go, fast, slow, jazz - whatever. That being said, I haven't heard any of it yet and Mark has been talking about a country song, so we'll see this summer!
  8. Me too, but I suspect it might be easier to find here in Europe
  9. "at this point, I bet the film will never get finished and will soon disappear along with AVA." http://www.blink-182online.com/forums/index.php/topic,106197.40.html Now you're commenting on the distribution of a film that would "never be finished or released"? Wow, you served me Its called sarcasm you tool. Of course the film would eventually get released, I've always believe that in the back of my mind. I just had trouble ever seeing it get released (heck, I'm still waiting on that due date, when's it coming out now? Fall 2011? Jesus.) because he's moved the due date back multiple times now, I remember how we were supposed to be excited for it back in 2006, but now only 5 years later, he's finally delivering the movie. But its not even remotely the same movie as it once would be. And in that respect, the AVA film (at least the one I had at one time been anticipating) will never come out. And even when it is "released" you're not going to find many places to buy it, guaranteed. And its certainly not going to be getting a theatrical release, which was also largely what I was talking about back then anyway. I'm pretty sure that unless they secured a better deal at Santa Barbera, Love will still be in most large music stores next to Start the Machine.
  10. I disagree, I find Modlife to be quite good for small updates about the band and I honestly don't mind paying a few pounds to them every now and again. If anything should be stamped as a failure it must be Blink182.com as it's completely disconnected from the band and it seems there's no interest in making it a hub for band related information from their management either. It probably won't save the record industry though, but does it need saving? I'm sure it's doing alright.
  11. I'd say they sound pretty good!
  12. Nah you just don't know how we run shit around here.
  13. I think it's German and means Electronic devices
  14. Wild guesses tells me that blink probably don't rehearse much (together) on the road, which is something they would have to do if they wanted to mix up their set. I read an article on Metallica's Death Magnetic tour, and the way they're changing up their set night after night is impressive. As an example, here's a list over songs they've played, and how many times they've played them, 35 shows into their latest tour: 1. That Was Just Your Life (Death Magnetic) 35 2. The End of the Line (Death Magnetic) 35 3. The Day That Never Comes (Death Magnetic) 35 4. Sad But True (Metallica) 35 5. Nothing Else Matters (Metallica) 35 6. Enter Sandman (Metallica) 35 7. Master of Puppets (Master of Puppets) 35 8. Seek & Destroy (Kill ‘Em All) 35 9. Broken, Beat and Scarred (Death Magnetic) 34 10. One (…And Justice For All) 34 11. Cyanide (Death Magnetic) 19 12. All Nightmare Long (Death Magnetic) 17 13. The Judas Kiss (Death Magnetic) 15 14. Turn the Page (Bob Seger-cover) 14 15. My Apocalypse (Death Magnetic) 14 16. Fight Fire With Fire (Ride the Lightning) 12 17. Holier Than Thou (Metallica) 9 18. Harvester of Sorrow (…And Justice For All) 9 19. For Whom the Bell Tolls (Ride the Lightning) 7 20. 15. To be honest, I think it's understandable that he doesn't enjoy singing ATST. They've played the song at every show since 1999. It's a catchy song, but the lyrics don't hold much content at all. The reason it has to be on the set list is that it's their biggest hit.
