  1. I didn't even realise Rice was playing until he scored. I thought midfield was tight and organised for both teams - Casemiro and Rice cancelling each other out, Harvetz and Fernandes having sub-par games and Eriksen and Odegaard being influential. If United had De Gea in goal they lose that game comfortably.
  2. I thought this could have cost Arsenal the game, it wasn't part of their plan until they saw how good Onana was on the ball. Arsenal were much more of a threat in the first 30mins pressing United - they let United back in the game doing this.
  3. It's kinda crazy how they want to stamp out time wasting... when VAR & Ref's waste the most time! I don't think you can have VAR unless every decision is consistent - it still feels like its up to humans to decide.
  4. I guess the proof that it doesn’t work is the Ake goal City scored yesterday, that was a clear 100% offside. You can have all the tech in the world to help you - at the end of the day it’s still dumb humans making decisions. It’s kinda like the more rules they make, the worse the game is getting. I don’t think anyone is a fan of 10mins+ of added in every game now either.
  5. Such fine margins! It's so hard to tell from the angles they show - you need a linesman POV. Brilliant game - thought United we unlucky, played well.
  6. yeah i'd take anyone now. United need 1/2 loans now.
  7. good shout - they have bags of money. Loosing all those key players have put them back to where they were a few years ago - i nearly put a bet on after seeing their midfield and defence.
  8. one of the best passes is have ever seen:
  9. They clearly weren't - proof is winning the treble and him breaking all sorts of records, this is the most exciting they've looked because they play far more direct now. Success is determined by what you win - not pretty tippy-tappy football. Ah yeah, all those players you said would be better without him are still facing the same issues. He wasn't the problem - if anything, we could score even less goals than last season! The same problems exist before he joined and after he left. I'm so glad we didn't - biggest waste of money since Maguire and look how he's ended up. United need 2 strikers, not blow the whole budget on one player. I think Rice is at the right club for his ability and he's had a good start - but I've been far more impressed by Odegaard, he looks like the £100m player.
  10. Like when Ronaldo would score every week after you said he was finished. Or when Haaland was the problem for City...
  11. The obsession continues. They said Partey was their saviour too.
  12. It can work - it was already much better against Spurs, the problem is Mount pushes so far forward leaving Casemiro on his own. No player is good enough to do that job on their own. When i look at this team now - here is why I think its failing: No out and out striker who can hold the ball up and obviously score goals. Rashford is a 3/10 player as a striker and a 9/10 player left-wing meaning you fuck up two positions here. Garnacho/Antony are wildly inconsistent - when they do get into the box/cross there's no striker do do anything. Bruno pushes even higher to try and score leaving midfield even more exposed. To me, all these issues centre around not buying a proper experienced no.9. Last season and this season, it's clear as day - they cannot score goals and when Rashford plays - he can't even press or keep the ball up the pitch. Like i said all summer, United won't win anything meaningful without a proper goalscoring number 9.
  13. we will live to regret not getting Kane. I would have been happy with just getting Kane and Onana - would have solved 2 major problems with this team.
  14. Absolute garbage. They've needed a striker for 12 months now and stuck in the same position. Rashford is unbearable/useless up front.
  15. Paqueta is fucked. Looks like Greenwood won't be back - probably for the best given the rumours that some staff/players don't want him back.
  16. They won't forget - people might celebrate a goal. But he'll always have this hanging over him.
  17. I've been involved in situations like this a few times (i was a teacher for 10+ years - mostly taught females between 16 - 30yo) and It's hard to understand what really happened unless you were involved or around the situation itself. I'm not a fan of the public playing judge and jury, just let the police/club/consultants deal with it who have far more evidence/information from all sides than we do as the general public. Sending him to another country with a very young family away from staff/family who could help and oversea him (and in particular the female) is a recipe for disaster in my opinion. I'd put him in contractual counselling/therapy for 12 months and make sure players/staff are okay with his return. Based on what evidence I've seen - this takes years and years of corrective therapy. Not sure why the club have taken soo long to deal with it - maybe the sensitivity, but it's definitely something they need to look at. One things for sure - he'll never be looked at in the same way again.
  18. 😂 Alex Morgan does it for me.
  19. What a performance - finals here we come!
  20. Was too good to be true. We are stuck with him for life - he got a massive pay rise over summer too.
  21. You have a tendency to bring up stuff over and over again like you hold a grudge. You've done this old man Casemiro act to death - when he was in the team of the season last year. You are desperate for him to fail when he's been the complete opposite for us. Even now, you can't admit he was pivotal for us last season - an opinion most fans/pundits would agree with. The rest of us praise/criticise the good and bad, we can even wish your team well in finals etc - while you are just miserable about United, always negative. There have been many times last season where United + Casemiro have been outstanding, yet radio silence from you. Most fans realise he was hung out to dry last night and the front 4/5 were far far worse. Not to mention its the FIRST game of the season... most players are building up fitness. You're right - its not deep, so why you soo cranky? Relax, learn to let go of the grudges. Personally, i love that we played like shit and still won somehow.
  22. You really do - especially when we win and your team drops points - i know somehow, someway you'll be negative about United. You're brilliantly consistent.
  23. Getting your little notepad out and gifs ready whenever Casemiro has an off day. Honestly, i just smile - its beautiful😁 How your team do this weekend kid? Another 3pts?
  24. It was 1 v 3 in midfield - a simpleton could see that - any player would be torn to shreds in that situation. Maybe ask yourself why he played like that instead of trying to prove yourself right all the time. Does he have bad games - sure. Has he transformed our team since he joined? Absolutely. He'll play many games where's he's great and you'll be silent, business as usual on here.
  25. So were most of our players. You really love to beat a dead horse don't you? He played like that last season and went on to become one of the standout players in the league remember?
