  1. yeah its far easier than club football - Tuchel, Eddie Howe, Emery, Frank would be worthy imo.
  2. Unai Emery is special - he's got top tier manager written all over him. Wonder how long he stays at Villa? VAR aside - this league is on a completely different planet to the others - 70% of the teams could compete very well in European comps.
  3. One of the best overheads i've ever seen. Gutted for Everton - loved the protest along with the United fans. They are getting fucked over. I'm predicating a players strike soon - maybe in a year or two. Too many dumb rules, ownership problems and far too many games to play at the expense of greed. This is the first time I've seen a real unanimous backlash against the PL.

Damn - every time i think my Celtics are on the brink of doom they suck me right back in with hope.
  5. agree with this - Mount, Sabitzer, Amarabat etc are all good, highly technical players, but they look like shit/average playing in this team because there's no real identity. We do 25% of everything - pressing, possession, counter attack etc - none of it is good. I don't care what anyone says - Maguire and Evans are the worst pairing in the league, we can't play out from the back at all. You guys have to see the City penalty - absolute joke, this game is ruined.
  6. If you watch it back, Gabriel misses the flight of the ball because of a (possible) touch by the keeper he's bending over before there's any real contact. The handballs are the worst for me, penalty's should only be given for clear, intentional handballs. You can't have defenders running around the box with their arms behind their backs like they do now - its sad. Also - i do think there is a bias against English teams in Europe, some of the decisions make the Pl refs/VAR look flawless.
  7. The cannot get the consistency right - they need to stop punishing dumb offsides/handballs - this natural body position stuff is daft. If a player doesn't touch the ball in an offside position - then it should be given imo. Forget the keeper being obstructed by 'movement towards the ball' subjective rubbish - every single player is making a movement for gods sake! Yet you can elbow someone in the face and they do nothing. I thought the Newcastle goal was valid - ball was in play (couldn't be proven otherwise), Gabriel was minimal contact - give the advantage to the scorers. Arteta said nothing when Harvetz should have been sent off. i don't think there's an agenda - its just sheer incompetence. But this stupidity does affect teams/points/matches etc.
  8. I think the manager hasn't been good enough - Ten Hag will be lucky to make it to Christmas. He needs a miracle now. Same old mistakes - glaring holes in the team weren't addressed. United have no goal scorers. Other than the Arsenal game, where we played well - there hasn't been one game where i think we deserved to win this season.
  9. Think I'm a little over halfway through Alan Wake II - one of the best games I've played in a long time. Very weird, but the story, graphics and gameplay are incredible. One of the few games where the graphics look truly next-gen on console.
  10. Absolute garbage from Ten Hag. Can't score goals, can't defend - a defence of Dalot, Evans, Maguire & Lidelof 😂 Another manger who comes and plays fear football - park the bus at OT with the slowest lineup. Then he made it worse after HT.
  11. At the time he was. Keyword - at the time. I've acknowledged him a few times... I'm not blind to any player like you are. Maybe you watch him too closely that you can't for the life of you acknowledge other players in the league who are performing just as well/better? Rodri? How about Bissouma? Hojbjerg? Szoboszlai? Mac Allister? Douglas Luis? Enzo Fernandes? Guimaraes? These guys are flying at the moment. I've always said there are better/just as good players in the league - these players prove it, so how am i wrong? Haarland is the problem at Man City... some eye you've got for the game there... 🤣
  12. There are 10+ midfielders doing the same thing in the league... but yeah, gotta hear about the Rice-love-in as usual. Not least Bissouma, who was shit on when I mentioned his name. This 'watch him closely' bollox is delusional. I don't need to watch every minute of La Liga to know how good Pedri is.
  13. Bellingham is going to win Ballon d'or in the next few years isn't he? anyway, looking forward to the Glazer vs Ratcliffe, two filthy rich owners with vastly different backgrounds is always going to be entertaining at the expense of us fans...
  14. Seems to work fine for other club's managers. Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti etc all have a say in who they sign. Kane waited for United, when United signed Hojlund - he joined Bayern a few days later after saying all summer he wanted it sorted quickly in the window. Kane apparently 'didn't fit the profile' or wanted high wages. Madness. For me, it looks like Ten Hag got most of the players he wanted - not what the Glazers wanted. We know this because Amrabat, Antony, Onana, Martinez, Weghorst, Mount, Malacia etc were all his boys. With that in mind - he can't really blame anyone for what we see on the pitch. These are all players he chose, not what was given to him. Mainoo isn't close to ready. The fucking manager need to figure out why these players who did well last season are awful now - its on him, not the owners. He's been given all the power/tools to succeed - players, staff changes, renovations, discipline backing etc - there are no excuses. He need to stick to a team and stop playing dumb diamond experimental formations and players out of position (Bruno at RW, Rashford up front). Reminds me of when Rangnick came in and the players had no idea or gameplan whatsoever. As much as i hate Rashford and Onana/Bruno have been terrible - these players have to keep playing to figure it out and rebuild chemistry. Again, its hard to say there's no leadership - when Ten Hag is the leader, the owners have backed him in that role. Liverpool have shite owners - didn't stop Klopp being wildly successful.
  15. The managers wanted players like Maguire, Martinez, Antony, Sanchez, Sancho, Ronaldo etc - the club gave them what they wanted for huge fees/wages. They brought Ten Hag in along with other staff changes to build a structure - Ten Hag constantly talks about building a structure, all these coaches, trainers etc were sanctioned by Ten Hag. The uncertainly of the sale is definitely a cloud -, there's no denying that, but you can't tell me the teams they are putting out against Palace, Gala, Burnley, Forest etc should be performing they way they do - its horrific, there is zero tactical depth, understanding, chemistry at all. This falls under the manager's responsibility - this is a team with a good blend of youth/experience/quality - yet the team is setup to leak goals every match with no solution. Ten Hag has alot more power than I think you give him credit for - from what I've read he has a say in most aspects of the club. He chose Hojlund over Kane, Onana over De Gea and to spend £55m on Mount. The manager shouldn't be vindicated just because of the owners - he has to take responsibility.
  16. i dunno - seems like Ten Hag got the players he wanted - he just doesn't know how to use them effectively. i don't think much will change with new owners - we just want to believe it will solve our problems. Ed Woodward was the problem, Ronaldo was the problem, DoF was the problem - yet the same problems still appear. All of them - manager/staff/owners etc have dropped the ball when it comes to buying and selling players - and this is the most important part of a rebuild. Ultimately, other teams work harder and more efficiently than Man Utd players do - you can see it in every game. Time to stop making excuses for these guys/manager. Hojlund is just brilliant.
  17. Onana's been awful - but i blame the manager, there's still no clear identity - players look lost and he doesn't really react. He keeps persisting with this pressing/possession based rubbish when he has some of the best counter-attacking players in the game. Every game -they just backpass to the keeper constantly. I'd seriously think about moving him on if this continues - all the momentum of last season has gone and it's his fault imo.
  18. these clowns are a joke. Liverpool will get an 'apology' and the refs will be onto the next fuck up.
  19. absolute garbage. What has happened to Rashford? The guys is finished again.
  20. was going to post this! absolutely disgusting
  21. Yeah, really enjoyed it. Casemiro - not bad for a fat old man aye? Looks right back to his best. Rashford will never learn or improve as a player - is footballing IQ is terrible. Hannibal's really impressed me too.
  22. Maddison & Bissouma have been 2 of the standout players in the league so far.
  23. These handball calls are an absolute joke - they need to stop being soo harsh.
  24. tbf they are down to bare bones - defence is made up entirely of poor backup players. But yeah its not working at all - there is zero chemistry.
