  1. old news dog. http://www.blink-182online.com/forums/index.php?topic=79818.0 but yeah, i like this show alot, i recently read a gnarly spoiler that kinda bummed me out that i found out, but whatevs.
  2. i got this beast for the surf band i'm playing in right now. it's a limited run of 50 pedals all handwired by the guitarist of my favorite surf band, the ghastly ones. it's a copy of the original mosrite fuzzrite, but with an added low end/mid boost knob. it's pretty sick. you guys'll be hearing it once my band starts recording.
  3. the fact that it comes stock with an invader.
  4. unless it's in super good shape, you shouldn't pay over $350 for it. a realistic price though would be about $300.
  5. haha you don't believe it's mine? I was answering your question when you said: Basically, you have a limited edition guitar, and there is nothing rare about what he is offering. No. You're pretty much wrong. His guitar is just a Fender with a different paint job, really not worth anything more than an Am. Standard of the same year. Well, if it is limited edition it is going to have a hornyer list price. not really, when fender does limited editions they're making them well into the 5 to 6 digits. the only time they actually make limited quantities is on cst shop stuff.
  6. the toronado has been discontinued since 04/05ish.
  7. anyone else watching this show? i think it's pretty rad so far.
  8. for whatever reason we don't carry soloists in store. the last one we had was well over a year ago and it was ancient from the store we were before, we bought them and became gc. it was an american one, we blew it out at like $1000 or something ridiculous.
  9. i'm pretty sure he meant .09-.42, but .09's are still super light.
  10. we'll both be waiting awhile, they're 3-4 weeks back ordered from bbe. but will do once it arrives.
  11. so your guitar and amp are the base of your tone, but as we all know the small stuff still does count. so i thought i'd make this topic for everyone to compare what everyone else is using as far as strings, picks, cables, pedals and whatever small stuff you guys can think of. i'll start strings: dr pure blues .11-.52 picks: dunlop tortex .88 cables: mogami gold 10' instrument cables x2 pedals: boss tu-2 fulltone fulldrive 2 mosfet boss bd-2 blues driver(modded) mxr m169 carbon copy ehx small stone ehx stereo pulsar sovtek big muff(late 60's early 70's model) '63 fender reverb unit(not really a pedal, but still counts) bbe two-timer analog delay(on order) i guess thats it. if anyone else can think of anything else post it.
  12. very true, unless you're looking to put another $200-300 into it.
  13. yeah, my mistake. the jag is 24" and the jm is 25.5"
  14. an mia jag is definitely my next guitar. the jag has a little bit shorter scale 24.5", which is a little brighter and snappier, i like it cause i mainly play leads. the jazzmaster is a little longer and it a lot warmer with a lot more bottom cause the wide single coils, don't call them p90s that shit drives me crazy, so it's a better rhythm guitar. now that's not to say jm's can't be used for leads cause just look at the ventures, but personally i just love the way jags feel and sound. i also like the features like the mute and the switching for the rhythm circuit(the jm has this also), but you also have the "thin switch" or "strangle switch." it just has a lot more tonal options imo. one really rad feature of the jm though, is that the way it's wired, in middle position it in essence is a hb, kinda rad. and then you have the new classic player jags and jazzmasters, which for people not looking for that vintage surf sound would probably be the better bet. you don't get the nitro finish like on the american made ones, but there are some kinda cool features. like on the jag, instead of having a rhythm circuit, you have a kill switch and the wheels are for blending between hb and sc on the hh models. they also have a screw in trem arm as opposed to the pop in on the americans. the tailpiece is moved slightly forward for sustain. you have an adjustomatic instead of the standard bridge and hotter pickups. i don't know every single aspect on these guitars, but hopefully this helps.
  15. cause it's part of my job. even if i wanted to, i couldn't tell you i get stuff at cost.
  16. sorry dude, even if i wanted to, i still couldn't tell you. if you wanna get mad, whatevs, i still can't.
  17. yeah, i can't exactly say how much, but it was a pretty good chunck. so next is my tele hopefully in about 2 months.
  18. initially i was when i was first lusting after fender amps. i wanted a 59 bassman like no other. but then i started listening to rhh like mad and got obsessed with that super tone and then tried one and knew that it was the amp for me. definitely satisfied.
  19. check out what i just got. just got it today. soooo amazing. seriously, best tone ever, people who don't like fender amps were in awe of how amazing this thing sounds. i really feel like if i wanted to, i'd never have to buy another amp ever. and a full length shot just for good measure.
  20. also, why would you want to remove nitro? it's so sexy.
  21. i've got 2 electro harmonix pedals i'm looking to sell. a stereo pulsar xo and a small stone(full size, not the nano). $50 each+shipping. this is an old pic, but they're both in the same condition as they were when the pic was taken. i also have the boxes and manuals for both.
