I'd all the bonus tracks over Reckless Abandon.
-
I've never seen a cd with the bonus tracks on in a store anywhere. Only the vinyl. I'm excited for the First Date one. Maybe the one with Voyeur as a b-side willl be shown and I will know it's not just something I have dreamed.

Fat Mike is a treasure!

Not his best work.

Nuts that Jesse Michaels is on it.

I think we sounds a little better but that is really just semantics, and also just me humming along in my head because it’s impossible for me to read lyrics or poetry without doing so 😂 either would work but I would say use we for both, but again that is without having any context for the musical landscape of this song.
I actually accidentally sang "I who live here" which makes no sense in that context, when I recorded it. Freudian slip.

I’ve never received test results by mail. Is that common in Norway? I’ve always had to collect them from the lab in person.
That was a bit of poetic license on my part. I think the character only receives a letter that he has to go to the GP and get them. That's how I imagined it at least.

Self driving cars
A road map for manikins
Internalized GPS
And bunch of uncanny kits
Any shit
That happens just happens
Drive way off track
Maxi dents accidents
Can't go back
From this murky alley
They run you over
You feel phantast pain
You missed the last train
You're stuck in the fast lane
They're ridiculous
They don't make sense
A wicked sign a picket line
Around a picket fence
The last train in the fast lane
At the soul bibulous rally
A soul
A sole malfunction
It's a crossroads
A hell of a junction
Seize the means of production
Please
Pay all the fees
And there will be peace
In our uncanny valley
When all of your bitcoins
Have turned into bitcons
You can all sit around
With your favorite sitcoms
They're a bit dumb
Written by a shit ton of hired witguns
Not by hand
Lacking morals Like a Warhol
the laughs are all canned
That shit is uncanny
They're not born human
So they're born sinless
They are skinless
And they are kinless
Made of silicone
No family no silly kin
Human faces
And wings like a pelican
Skinless and sinless in the depths of Silicone valley
A soul
A hole in the matrix
Ambiguous ambivalent
They make sure that you hate this
Theist and erratically faithless
Freeze
On your knees
And there will be peace
In our uncanny valley
Bridge
Say grace
Bow down to the techbros
X is XXX with routine checks
Get your checkmark on your checkhose
And think of the way I
Can make you push and pull until the jar is full
Even if you know I am AI
Now a human can zoom in
And see a pic of a humanoid
The apple fell far from the tree
They're switching to android
So annoyed
And destroyed staring into the void
Equally real equally fake
Turn a light on for the python
The snake is at the stake
We can make up the tail but not tally
Their minds are coded
Encrypted and cryptic
Wearing slacks and blue lipstick
Skies turn apocalyptic
Cosmic distortion
Of biblical proportions
Miscarriage of justice
Acccidental abortions
A humanoid in the void in the final finale
A soul
Not a soul here lies
The tree of knowledge
Booted from paradise
He's the pale horse you recognize
He sees
The serpent in the trees
And there will be peace
In our uncanny valley

I read an article about the Didjits and decided to check them out. They seem very hit and miss to me.

Which albums would you guys want in the top ten?
-
I think I'd consider Sleater Kinney punk. I guess Mission of Burma is post punk?

I don't get why compilation albums get in either. shouldn't that be an instant disqualifier?
I can understand it if a band didn't release an acual album. I think at that point the Buzzcocks only released a compilation in the US, so American journalists don't even bother to talk about their great albums that were released most other places.
I guess I'd also support the Black Flag stuff before Rollins being on there (and also add a later album with Rollins)
-
I remember the Ramones had all their three first albums written in 76 and deliberately released the weakest ones on the first one so they would get better for each album. I never understood how anyone could prefer their debut to like Leave Home.
-
I appreciate Sleater Kinney and X-Ray Spex making it so high up though. Minutemen is one band i never really got. Damaged by Black Flag being on any list is ridiculous and Americans and their hard on for Singles Going Steady is annoying.
-
I feel like the albums lower on the list were better than most of those in the top ten.

Stupid that Dude Ranch would be on there but not Enema
Just as long as it's not toypaj or self titled I'm happy.

Mike Ness is one of the few that gets better with age. He truly is incredible. An undisputed GOAT. Johnny Two Bags is the man too though. And shout out to the bassist Brett and the drummer David. Drummer’s Dad is the singer/guitarist of Los Lobos.
But he doesn't get the bluea and it gets him down, but not down enough to get the blues.

What if we get an unreleased track too? And a new dollarbill tour, but in Europe? What if I can get in backstage and they tell me they love me?
