  1. If you read both the first draft and shooting draft of something and the genre remains clear, that's how... and the friends who've hit me up saying they saw it and disliked how art house it felt. It's not a blind knock.
  2. Mike is wrong. Seinfeld is the best. Was gonna break it down with a really long explanation, but then realized I don't have to when it comes to blatant facts.
  3. What I read when I read the script didn't work, and the trailers didn't make me want to see it at all. I just felt like, to me, it looked so art housey and try-hard. I guess my annoyance with him sounding too 'above this' in regards to a crossover is, I do not think he's above it. Not with that, and not with a superhero movie.
  4. I believe it was Todd Phillips himself who said Joaquin's Joker would never be part of Matt Reeve's batman film, or any for that matter in a way that made it seem like they didn't want to so much as entertain the idea. It's like, cool dude- I didn't see your movie, but a lot of people liked it and you could totally build on it and do some great things for fans, but if you're too cool for school you're too cool for school. I bring this up, because I saw this, and as much as I dislike super hero movies (and I do to the extent that I applaud Scorsese for preaching the gospel truth about Marvel) sign me up for this:
  5. I think it's actually making cinema rounds right now.
  6. Doesn’t make that right in my opinion.
  7. Yeah not calling their music shit, I guess I’m just surprised by how certain bands in this genre are able to catapult while others aren’t. Does that make sense?
  8. Time out lmao are they legit selling tickets to their comeback show for 150 dollars
  9. i am shocked by the fact that this band is so popular/gets so much love.
  10. bums me out The reputation they pull, especially lil Peep. Dude was incredibly talented and had the kind of charisma that could have seen him do some amazing things in music. It’s tragic his life is gone, and I hate the fact that people are quick to write it off and label him in ways that prove they don’t know shitabout him.
  11. 23 is one of the most beautiful songs ever. That whole album is amazing. Shouldn’t be possible to dislike it.
  12. I'm an admitted big fan. I guess maybe it's a guilty pleasure? But I've never really felt the need to keep my head down about my taste in things soooo. Nah, fuck it not even, I think this shit is fantastic. For those unfamiliar with this ...sub genre of sorts... here's an introduction That Bright Eyes sample though. and channelling Mark Hoppus in the chorus.
  13. And good for him. Super weak to place a dark cloud over his success.
  14. I'm not at all shocked they'd do something like this.
  15. And by the way, i just listened to both and what the fuck @ this lawsuit
  16. Yellowcard sucks, and Facts: They're fucking assholes.
  17. Poor girl let the super fan in her make this a very awkward interview lol.
  18. Dan, come on. Martin doesn't want people know he directed those movies in secret. That was supposed to stay with the three of us in that hot tub on that cool winter night. I'm telling on you.
  19. right? way harder than I thought it would be. I never saw Shutter Island, believe it or not. I triggered the twist the first time I saw the trailer, and deflated off being sure (and right) that i was correct. Can you break down the irrelevancy regarding that perhaps? EDIT: Damn, Kyle. Goodfellas at #2, but no love for Casino in the top 10 at all? Lol
  20. I'm not all praise for Scorsese, and as controversial as it may seem: I really disliked The Aviator, and thought Cape Fear, while good, is pretty overrated. But I feel like I need to revisit that one again, and see how I feel now.
