I loved WDNTW because I was right out of high school and I felt like it kind of fit with what I was going through at that moment, graduating and starting a new chapter to my life. I-Empire was my favorite and helped me get through some shit I had going on in my life- some deaths in my family, my brothers addiction to drugs and alcohol and whatnot and almost od'ing, so that album will forever have a special meaning for me. Love Part I had some decent songs on it but you could tell Tom was starting to run out of ideas and I was much more excited about blink getting back together and putting out new material. I was really disappointed whenever Love Part II came out and only liked Anxiety, Surrender and All That We Are. My first listen of that album, I thought, "Is that it?". Then with Dreamwalker, it's a decent album but too different for me. I listened to it off and on whenever it first came out but I just didn't get the same feelings I got whenever I listen to WDNTW or Empire. I haven't hardly listened to the Of Nightmares EP enough to really have an opinion on it. I do enjoy most of Chasing Shadows because it's nice to hear loud, distorted guitars again and Overload has some catchy hooks in it, something I don't feel like Tom has done in a while. I went from being a huge fan of AVA in the beginning to bring almost off put by some of the more recent releases, but if Chasing Shadows is any indication as to where Tom is going with the band, then I'm curious to hear more.
