M!ke Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 hmm he still played a blink song huh? perhaps he will play I'm lost without you... i really hope so, its the one song i've been longing to hear live by blink, well that and not now, but i never expected them to play that. Quote
Mos Eisley Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Wow I Miss You, that's rad, does anyone have video or audio? Was it just him doing it or full band? And how much did he do? Somebody on PD said he played what he did for Down and just did I Miss You instead or something Quote
MSandt Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Anyone else pissed off at the fact that he played a blink song? Quote
Bish182 Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 Anyone else pissed off at the fact that he played a blink song? not really, he has to fill the set with something Quote
M!ke Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Anyone else pissed off at the fact that he played a blink song? not really, he has to fill the set with something he could cover other bands. like old school bands, haha take a beatles song and add space effects... ok maybe he shouldnt cover other bands... Guest iamwally Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 If +44 can play a set with no covers, why can't AVA? Quote
Bish182 Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 If +44 can play a set with no covers, why can't AVA? +44 play shorter shows in small clubs...AVA wana lengthen out their shows a bit, is there anything wrong with that? No. Quote
Macbeth_031 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 tyhe song is called Stars in the sky, someone on the punk disasters forum posted the link on the AOA myspace, then a guy emailed him saying the title of the song to be Stars in the sky because he was standing next to the set list and shook toms hand at the end. Mos Eisley Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 If +44 can play a set with no covers, why can't AVA? Because he wants to... what in the fuck is so hard to understand about that... (here comes 80 posts saying he left blink so he shouldnt play blink song blah blah blah it's getting old) Quote
supervic Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 tom's probably playing blink songs for the same reasons that mark has said in all his intereviews. hes proud of what hes done, he doesnt want to distance himself from his past, and he's 1/3 blink 182 lol. besides, i think with down tom did it cuz he wanted to make a bridge between blink and ava, kinda like showing the transition from life doing blink to his new life doing ava Quote
Punkloserr182 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Remember the Spin article recently? We know that you sang a blink and box car song on the last tour you went on. Do you think that you will sing anymore songs like that? Tom- I was going to sing a piece of I’m Lost Without You from Blink but I decided that I probably shouldn’t because I’m not Blink 182 anymore, I’m Angels and Airwaves and it’s a completely different sound. I am very proud of the work I did in Blink, but it sadly came to an end. I guess all that went out the window. Quote

(here comes 80 posts saying he left blink so he shouldnt play blink song blah blah blah it's getting old) Mark and Travis don't like it at all so the least Tom could do is to show a bit of respect. He's distancing himself from blink and acting selfishly. Quote
Jediblink Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 He shouldn't play Blink songs because he's not in Blink 182 anymore. Simple as that really. Quote
