JCM 900 for punk pop, kinda like a rocket launcher for home defense.

I disagree on those Ibanez' es, try them out but Ibanez tends to make shitty low priced amps.

What do you mean? JCM 900 sounds just good, Tom used a JCM for his clean tones..

he means its so loud and powerful that its gona make it sound like its gona blow a hole in something

in a good way of course

I mean that a JCM900 is too expensive and powerfull an amp for punk-pop like 90% of the time, overkill in other words. If you have a band and gig regularly then it would be perfect but somehow i don't think he does (no offense if he does though), also punk-pop is a tone easily attainable, many more smaller and affordable amps would do it perfect.

  • 4 weeks later...

i figured i wouldnt waste making another topic.

but

does a Fender FM65W amp

and 9 pedals.

seem like a good trade for an Epiphone Dot?

what kind of pedals. sounds good if it is a dot and not the dot studio and its in good condition

its the other way around.

Uhh..

Well no idea about the wah..

Theres a Fender Tuner there, my guess the one on the left is some kind of Digitech and the rest are all DanElectros, the green one on the corner is a Fish and Chips EQ, no idea about the rest.

What i would do is accept it and sell everything.

Lets see..

You can sell all the danelectros for 15 a pop i guess

The other three for 20 each

The Amp for 150.

i would do that and and sell that epiphone amp you have and by myself a real nice Epiphone Valve Junior and an Ibanez TS808 and an EQ pedal, maybe keep that Fish n Chips...

Unless you're in a band, then i would buy a used Peavy Valveking.

But it sounds fishy though, maybe the amp doesnt work or something...

Ok first of all...

You cannot afford a GOOD Marshall amp, the cheapest GOOD one might be a DSL401 which i saw the combo at GC priced at 1000.

DO NOT EVEN THINK about an MG or an AVT, seriously I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN.

The Marshall MG is Satan incarnated in an amp, oh yeah the Marshall logo and the grill look oh so nice but once you turn that MF on its like god raped you in the ears .

Ok second.

Ebay will SURELY buy your guitar, Ebay will buy anything.

Third

I just checked ebay and some danelectros were going for 12 with 18 hours still left, i think they could go at 15 no problem.

well i dont know that i want a Fender 65W cause ive heard they are bad.

what amp should i get?

something thats between $200-$600

please give me as many suggestions as you can.

alternative/grunge kinda sound.

you can suggest pedals too.

what about a Line 6 Flextone?

The flextone is nice but its wayyyy too much stuff you don't need, you can also find a nice tube amp that sounds better for the price.

I still think the Epiphone Valve Jr is for you, try it out, also remember its pretty cheap so you can add some nice pedals like that 808 tubescreamer and an EQ pedal. Since you have the cash you could also get the head and a nice 1x12 cab.

Again, try out the Peavy Valveking, maybe you could like it.

And you're right, you don't want the Fender Frontman.
