As someone who is supposedly a fan of real music, hence being on a message board, you should fully not condone AI generating music and flooding, over saturating the music environment. It's extremely detrimental it even exists for any realms like this. I get that you used it for a joke here, which I guess is fine in theory, but you're still contributing to normalizing it and adding yet another video to youtube in seconds. Quote
Centrist_Jans Cookbook Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Literally this is why a lot of us no longer get into Blink 182 as much as we used to. Once we find out they are using outside writers, can tell they are using quick fixes/effects, hardly getting into this thing it immediately takes you sort of out. It might still sound good, still have some cool moments, but part of it is showing off their talents or creativity. And that's a mega popular band we grew up on loving. Now we have kids that can put a prompt in and have a full length movie/song/video etc. It's so fucking lame. You're literally turning me into the ppl I cringed at growing up - now listening to 70s/80s bands and watching older movies because of just how amazing it is people made these from scratch. Quote
Scott. Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Whenever Blondie come on the music channels Debbie Harry sends me into a trance. I can’t take my eyes off her. Ridiculous face card 2 Quote

twelve Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Most of the time, I don’t care about specific styles of music. I stick around if something grabs my attention. Sometimes it’s the melody, sometimes the lyrics, sometimes just something else. I don’t even remember how I found this song - probably Shazamed it from some random video. I have no idea what they’re singing about, but it must be something good. Quote
Speedo Bandito Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Anyone else get instantly aroused when this song comes on? 1996 forever! 1 1 Quote

Centrist_Jans Cookbook Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I never really gave Tom Petty much a chance but would say Wildflowers would go in the perfect album category. The Rick Rubin special I watched on it was pretty cool, how they’d come up with songs and such. Seems like it’s his favorite band he’s worked with or most proud of. Also spawned on me on a drive this weekend, there may be no such thing as perfection, but many of us consider ‘Feeling This’ a perfect blink 182 song, song in general, I’d agree it’s as close as it gets, checks all the boxes + lightening in a bottle. Beat It - MJ comes to mind, randomly am throwing Tame Impala - Less I Know The Better in there. Not a huge fan of them but credit where it’s due. Subjective but wondering anyone’s other nominations? Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd, Crazy Train - Ozzy. Rebel Girl - ava. Quote

There are a handful of celebrities that actually hit hard when they died and Tom Petty was one of them. Such a great song writer. 1 Quote
