PuNkJaS0
1. Epiphone Thunderbird IV Bassor 2. Fender Deluxe P-Bass SpecialI'm leaning towards teh fender deluxe with a rosewood fret board. What do you guys think?
Matticus001
They're both good, but since you're leaning for the P-bass choose that one.
ConE
pbass all the way, but if i was you i wud go for a jazz
Guest GrandpaReefer
jazz would be my choice also, but ive played both the basses above and as both are good, the pbass is better imo. It has the jazz neck if im not mistaken, and i really love those necks. also has a very good tone to it. id get the red that they sell it in, get a white pearl pickguard to replace that one. also, get the maple neck instead of rosewood. looks better imo. Infested Blink
theyre both good, but since ur leaning toward a precision get that. but i'd personally prefer a jazz over a precision ezily
:D
Fender, the uva one is just damn ugly!
david to the fifth power
i'd say go for a p, but i'm not really a fan of deluxe, i just don't really care for the ONE jazz p-up. if i started playing bass seriously again, i'd totally get an american pbass. sunburst w/ maple fretboard. maple's the only way to go

Ricardo.
The bassists from the cure and system of a down use the thunderbird.I love the sound of it. So if i were you, I'd go with the epi.
Guest iameric
i'm kinda liking the p bassand yeah, jon berry(awesome guy, good bassist) from rufio used a thunderbird(mighta been gibson though?) in their last tour when i saw them. Just so you know past basses used were ernie balls and fenders
