How do SH-6's sound?

No idea but Reddit seems to know

I think Tom’s strat is SH-8, and I’ve heard mixed things about them. Seem good for blink but maybe not other stuff. No idea on SH-6 though.

I have experience with SH-4s and SH-8s, but not SH-6s, unfortunately.

How do you like the SH-4? That’s the JB right? I hear good things about them but I’ve always avoided them because they seem like the generic choice

Yeah, it's the JB. I wouldn't call them generic; I think they have a fairly distinctive sound, but they might have that reputation among punk and metal fans because they're more versatile than an Invader.

Right on. Yea I just said generic because they seem to be used by so many people

I've got myself almost the same rig as Mark from 1994-1997-ish (though he kept the amp longer). I play a Stingray bass through an Ampeg SVT-II with an Ampeg 810. Pretty classic, hard to beat!

You get them to plek it and set it up? It’s worth it.

I didn’t pay for that, no. It’s like an extra $100. I will take it to my local luthier when I get it to have them put the strings I want on it, file the nut accordingly, set it up, etc. Seemed like a risk to pay for that before it ships…

Gonna have to take the Strat in to get set up for drop c# since that has a bigger neck and is harder for me to play standard tuning than this Schecter will be…

Sweet Water is pretty great, I get the plek and set up every time, I trust them.  You do what’s best for you though, it’s your money. I was just curious.

Yea I heavily considered it. I read some reviews, many great reviews but also saw some people complaining that it wasn’t great by the time the guitar arrived. I figured I would take it in with the Strat to the local luthier anyways so I elected not to.

These fools shipped my guitar and didn’t ship it in the hard case that I bought with it. I specifically instructed them to please ship in the case. This is exactly why I didn’t pay for the set up smh. Can’t trust anybody lol.

Yea im going to. I’m not one to bitch but how the fuck they mess that up lol. I swear if there is ONE scratch!

Yeah, fuck that! Complain away. Personally, I’ve only ever had great experiences with them so it sucks to hear you had problems. Check that guitar over though, any nicks, scratches, cracks, anything off at all, ship it back and request a refund or a new guitar.

I bought a capo from Sweetwater a while back and they called me to make sure it arrived okay. They're very committed. Maybe a little too committed. 😂

Yea I’ve only ever heard great things about their customer service. I just spoke to them, dude told me it’s safer to ship in the box vs the case so I’ll take his word for it lol. I like how they sent me professional photos of my guitar like it’s some Boudoir photo shoot 😍😂

I've never heard that! Maybe it depends on the guitar/the case.

Yea, you’d think the hard shell case would be safer but I’m just going to trust that they know how to ship them in the box properly. I’m sure it will be fine.
