aceguitarist3
Hey I'm not sure if this topic is supposed to go somewhere else, and I'm sorry in advance if it is, but I thought it would be cool to discuss. We saw two setlists from the opening shows at The Joint and we got a taste of what most of the setlist will be and how some songs will be subbed throughout the tour. I know it's extremely early to say a lot, but after seeing all the youtube videos, the setlists, the pics etc... is there something that you're most excited about? Is there something that you find a bit disappointing? Something you're hoping for? I know that the one thing that I'm loving is how every review I read, everyone says how the stage banter is like it was in the good ol' days, because that was my main concern. I was worried if Mark and Tom would be able to joke around like they used to after almost 5 years of hating each other. Can't wait to hear what they say. The one disappointment I have is the lack of Dude Ranch love in the setlists (so far). When I saw the second Vegas setlist with Go and Violence thrown in, it was kind of a bummer because as much as I love the Untitled album, I would love to hear maybe 1 or 2 from Dude Ranch, something like Pathetic, Dick Lips, Untitled, Voyeur etc...I find they had the last tour to promote Untitled, it would be cool to see a little more from the past. That's just my take, anyone else have thoughts on this?
ALI
I am excited about all of it. It's like they never broke up. The banter and antics are amazing, the songs sound great, and Tom is singing awesome (for Tom). I do have to agree on the lack of old songs. But it doesn't really matter to me that much which songs they play since I love them all. Wouldn't it be awesome if all of a sudden they just busted out Marlboro Man or Degenerate or Wasting Time or something?
Ghent
My expectations have been completely annihilated so far. The only thing I'm disappointed with is Mark's singing and lack of joking.

Wasting Time out of nowhere would be amazing because Mark never spoke on twitter about songs being practiced from Chesire Cat. I just find going with some older ones is like a little nod to the longtime supporters.

blink--182
My expectations have been completely annihilated so far. The only thing I'm disappointed with is Mark's singing and lack of joking. i'm totally overwhelmed , but i agree on the mark thing. dont know but it seems like he's not on the top of his form. maybe he needs to get used to share the stage with a charcater like tom again. bojangles
my only complaint is too many untitled songs.
Thomas!
Too many songs from Self-Titled. I only want to hear songs from Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch, and a few from Enema.

Yeah, so far he just can't handle Tom...haha Tom is acting crazier than he ever has on stage. Totally unexpected. Mark's stage energy is great though. As for his singing, I'm not sure what's up with that. It's not horrible by any means, but he sounds uninspired compared to older shows. Too many songs from Self-Titled. I only want to hear songs from Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch, and a few from Enema. Moron.
Chewy030
My expectations have been completely annihilated so far. The only thing I'm disappointed with is Mark's singing and lack of joking. Mark was tweeting last week about going to the Dr. so maybe he has something wrong with his throat right now...He sounded great on the tv preformances i wonder if hes getting over something. Did u guys honeslty think they would go back and play shit load of duderanch, cheshire cat,and enema? I mean come on guys think about it! Self-Titled was their last record so of course their gunna play more from that. They havent played those songs in fucking years! Otherwise i have no complaints about the setlist at all. I love seeing tom going over to mark every two seconds just like hes saying hey buddy whats up lol its fucking great to see them kicking ass again! Scott.
i'm happy about tom basically, its all about tom, he's the life and soul of blink in my opinion!! he looks better, looks younger, singing better, joking around, playing the guitar better, he's just on form right now and for me mark aint! i'm not bashing mark though he is still awesome, just for his standards which are high he aint really on form, and travis is a beast as usual, we can always count on travis!! its amazing to see tom and mark joke around again after soo long, its like they never went away!! think its nice to see tom enjoying himself of stage instead of singing that serious shit from AVA! the set list i couldnt give a fuck what songs they play, there all amazing to me, so whatever, i'm happy!! maybe they could do with putting apple shampoo or waggy in and they neeeeeed to come UK very soon, us brits can't bloody wait any longer
Feeling_This_1
Good point about the older songs. They can play a lot of the last record on this upcoming tour (along with new songs), but if theres a chance for old songs, its not i guess, cuz after this i really doubt we'll ever hear pathetic, voyeur, etc. They should play M+ms too! But so far ive been very happy. Better banter than the last tour i think. AS long as they keep up this good playing. Mainly tom. But whatever im so happy and satisfied so far
ALI
For years people would be on youtube videos whining "I want the olddd tommm backkkk" and I'd always get annoyed, but secretly I thought it too. I just tried to elaborate and deleted what I wrote about four times. I can't even describe it. Whether he's really "back" or never actually changed, I don't know and I don't care. But whatever it is that was different about him after he got with AvA has been reversed imo. The Tom I've seen in the past month has been... just the best. I still can't even describe it. It's crazy that a band is making me happier than I've been in a long time.
Ghent
Tom is just a weird dude. But that's why he's so awesome.
Patient #48273
The only thing I'm slightly disappointed about it that they mentioned having a longer setlist, with 27-ish songs. I'm not really surprised they're not doing that, but it would be cool if they did. I also think the placement of Travis' drum solo is a bit odd. To me, it would make more sense to have it during the regular set and have the encore start with "Carousel." Not really a complaint, just a preference. Other than those things, it's met, and possibly exceeded my expectations.
grilled_cheese
I am dissappointed of the setlist. They play to many songs from the untitled album wich in my opinion is their worst. More dude ranch and cheshire cat songs and the shows would have been awesome! Also, as some of you mentioned, marks singing is a disappointment. Fishguts182
would it be nice to hear more songs from cheshire and dude ranch? sure of course it would, but you gotta understand they're most likely gonna play more recent stuff. and I saw someone on here made a mention of they wanted to hear songs from cheshire, dude ranch and enema but not untitled. so wait no love for toypaj? I am happy with the setlist they've given and I could def see as the tour goes on and gets longer couple of different songs being played on different nights maybe some older songs. But nothing like what people want like wasting time and stuff maybe songs like peggy sue or untitled. The sorta cheshire/dude ranch stuff that they played during MTTS ya know? Who knows maybe more towards the end of the tour they will play UAN. Regardless of whether or not they release a studio version during the tour or after. Tom is sounding great and the songs are being played really well. Mark sounds pretty good to me on a majority of the songs, maybe a little off on a few but maybe he's just a little rusty or getting over something who knows. But I have no doubt he'll be back on his top game soon enough. So far my expectations have def been met and exceeded and I am very excited to see these guys again for my 5th time in augsut.
