He looked amazing last euros and haven’t heard much about him since his move to Juve. Allegri happened, he just can't use him. Crazy what he can do when he has competent mids beside him instead of Rabiot. You also haven't heard much about him because he's injury prone.

He looked amazing last euros and haven’t heard much about him since his move to Juve. Kind of fell out of favour with Mancini on the Azzurri and then Allegri got his hands on him at Juve. The same Allegri who was playing our best attacking weapon in Italy, Chiesa, as a wing-back. Lol. At the Euros, Locatelli was playing in a more advanced position and was really excelling because he was one of our only midfielders who would shoot the ball. He had a lot more offensive freedom and creativity. Lately, Allegri has been using him as a "regista" and more of a deep lying playmaker. I personally think he has the qualities to do it as he is a beautiful passer. That being said, I think he does struggle a bit with defensive cover and his gas tank during the match. He's also just more suited for the offensive role, in my opinion. Italy badly need somebody to step up and snag that regista position by the horns in their 4-3-3. Barella, Tonali and Frattesi are all awesome, but are much more of your traditional 8, box-to-box midfielders who play up and down, all over the field.

Arsenal have got a world class midfielder and the money has allowed us to rebuild our team, think everyone won with that deal. Thought it was a fairly even game that could have gone either way, Onana is great with his feet, not as sure about his actual saving of shots though. The Garnacho offside was insanely tight, it's a shame that VAR can kill those moments in football - I think if you just saw that blind and didn't get the lines out everyone would think it was onside to be fair - but Genie is out of the bottle now and there isn't any going back. You were so right on Rice. We have been shit this season but he has been the only shining light. I always knew he was good but didn't realise how good he was until watching a full 90 mins week in week out.

Big week now though with Champions League and Spurs. Let’s fucking have it mate.

Our attack hasn't been great this season but defence has been pretty solid since dropping Partey and bringing Gabriel back in. It's either gonna be a scrappy 0-0 or 1-0 either way. But, if our attacking players actually turn up I think we could smash them. Super excited to see Champions League football back at the Emirates

Don’t get me wrong he works bloody hard, but he’s not the sort of player who’s gonna go and grab 25 goals. We’re just missing that one piece that could finish the rebuild. I’m so pumped for Wednesday. I’ve not got a ticket but I’m in london with a mate that day so we’re gonna head up to Arsenal around 6ish and soak in the pregame and buzz before kick off and then find a local pub to watch it in.

I managed 2 games last season Villa away (4-2 - 2 last minute goals) And then I took my son to his first game which was Bournemouth at home. Also, this was his music of choice for the train back home 😄 1
2point5
Fuckin love that mate! And what a couple of games that would have been! If that Bournemouth game didn’t fully cement his love for the gunners then nothing will! My daughter is finally getting into football now so we’re up the Emirates on Oct 15th for the ladies game against Villa. Truth be told I just wanna sit and watch Rachel Daly for 90 minutes so it works for both of us! If that goes well I know some season ticket holders that will sort us out for some proper games.

That's mega mate, signed him up for Junior Gunners this season, he adores them now. You should have seen him after the United game 😄, he went to school all hoarse on Monday haha

Id take var if it was like the ones used in international tournaments, not the crap refs Oh man, you have my sympathies! Not as bad, but we only got a single penalty in all comps last year 😂 I think I'd still rather have shitty EFL refs over VAR, it's such an awful broken system. Still hurt that Pukki was judged offside by his fucking beard back in 2020!! All officiating currently is a goddamn joke!

This is exactly it, the casual viewer who watches highlights on MOTD and the odd game here and there won't see it but when you watch him week in/week out then you realise truly how good he is. He has deceptively quick pace and acceleration as well which allows him to win balls back quickly when the team loses possession (think Gary Neville aluded to that in his comms yesterday as well) Rodri is the only player in his position in the league who is at/around his level and I think it's honestly pretty close.
Roux
I thought Bayern were crap - we'd have got something if we were somewhat competent. VAR can now overturn/recheck their own decisions?
