fElon Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 At the front gate they hand out these pink slips for you to fill out. You can either select to win a seat upgrade or a meet and greet. Once you fill it out you have to drop it off at the verizon booth. Thing is, most people don't bother to fill it out and even less bother to hand it in. (I was one of those people). About 20 people out of the 30 people who dropped it in there were selected to meet Blink backstage. So you odds of you winning are pretty good. I watched them get to go back there and meet them. I was kicking myself for not doing it. Quote
fElon Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 what is the verizon booth? It is the booth where they advertise verizon. You'll find it. Quote
Bob Loblaw Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 How do you know only 30something people filled it out? Quote
fElon Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 How do you know only 30something people filled it out? Cause the container thing was clear and I could see inside it. The majority of the people who dropped it in got selected. Quote
wotdsm Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Do you have to go to the show early or something to get a pink slip? Quote
0rt3x Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Do you have to go to the show early or something to get a pink slip? prolly just rush as first to the front of the pit I guess Quote
Guest bodhi Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Now that you've advertised it, people's chances of meeting blink have dropped dramatically. Quote
fElon Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 Now that you've advertised it, people's chances of meeting blink have dropped dramatically. Yeah, that's true. Quote
Julian Casablancas Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 cool! it was basically the same thing at the Atticus booth at their 2004 european tour but the only difference was that they didn't hand out anything. you had to be in the first 10 to show up with anything atticus on your body (cap or shirt or w/e) to get a meet & greet and we ended up being like 20 because we were obviously the only people that knew about it haha Quote

In Belgium I could stand on the first row for coldplay and I was there just when the doors opened but yeah that's prolly because the crowd ain't filled with 16year old girls.. Quote
imateapot Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 thanks for posting. i've seen pictures of these meet and greets so far on the tour and i was wondering how people were able to do it. what time do they usually do these meet and greets? Quote
krisseh0489 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Laaame. My show didn't have that. Unless it was upstairs for the doors with seating. Quote
Julian Casablancas Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 hehe, how early do you need to come to be with the first 20people at the row in america? good question. i don't know. when they played in germany we arrived at 3 or so and there were already like 400 people. Quote
Ghent Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 If this is true, you should delete this thread. I'm sure word has already gotten around fast just from this. Quote
Harper. Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 how do you find out you won? i mean there is probably like 5,000 people there. Quote
Bob Loblaw Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 how do you find out you won? i mean there is probably like 5,000 people there. Maybe you have to write down your seat # and hope you aren't walking around or in the lawn. Anyway, thanks for the heads up. Quote
Ghent Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Or they just randomly pick people who turn it in on the spot. Quote
