Cheerios4u98 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 i could see why you wouldnt like the ending but it doesnt bother me too much. i think its a bad ending to the album as opposed to a bad ending to the song. Yeah I think that's how I feel too. Wouldn't really bug me if the song was in the middle of the album. Edit: I miss Tom telling stories like this: Haha. I saw him tell a variation of that story in December of '06. It was funnier though because the girl was a gimp so she limped all the way over to his house, and instead of putting her hand in the guy's pants, she took off her robotic hand and stuck it down his pants and hooked it up to a car battery and it shook around and gave him a handjob. Then at the end she ran away to the hills and had sex with a troll for ten days. haha. Funny how I still remember that. I'm pretty sure there was something about her riding a unicycle with no seat too. The story lead in to them playing There Is, which is still to this day one of my all time best concert memories. I-Empire - I thought was still good but can't really stand the song breath. This was defiantly more of a poppy album for them. LOVE - The first half of the record is GREAT, but after Epic Holiday it kind of fades away for me. I mean there still good songs but the second half just isn't as good imo. Quote

horchata Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Reading the posts, i opened up LOVE in itunes. Some Origins Of Fire has the EXACT same melody as the adventure verses. It might even be in the same key, or close to it. You can totally sing the adventure lyrics along with it. I think it's the weakest AVA song. As most say, the first half of LOVE is amazing. Quote

I really like it now though! I remember that song used to always be the number one target for being trashed because of it's simplistic lyrics. I don't think it was that hard to realize that that was the entire point, and I think it translates really nicely. Quote

I like the song, but the chorus could be waaaaaay better, its really shitty as it is, and ruins what could otherwise be an awesome song through and through. Quote
