Thomas D.
Listened to the first 2 songs, couldnt stand listening any longer after the third one. I dont know how many songs this guy can write about how pathetic he thinks he is. The first album was good, should've stopped then.
M!ke
yeah, I am getting a little tired of this guy's shtick, wish he would try something drastically different for once. Hell, Jack's Mannequin really isn't too different from Something Corporate at that.

Not sure what some people expect out of him. This is who he is, and what he does well.
lmnop
soco has GUITARS. jacks mannequin has a couple strums on the strings every now and then which i barely consider guitar
M!ke
soco has GUITARS. jacks mannequin has a couple strums on the strings every now and then which i barely consider guitar Doesn't change the fact that they sound quite similar. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a new SoCo album, but if SoCo never releases another album, its not a big deal because Jack's Mannequin is around to provide us with very similar types of material. I decided to listen to the fourth song and surprisingly, it was a downer song. You were right I've always been a sinner You were right I've wasted all your time You said it all, "We drank to much at dinner." So tonight I'm sleeping with my television on I can't imagine how miserable this guy must be.

Wow, so what kind of person should be Mark Hoppus attending to the When You Fucked Grandpa lyrics. C'mon, aren't you overanalyzing the lyrics? GrandpaReefer
you're using a shit example ghost. a joke song compared to an actual song. I'm giving this a listen, but yeah, the depressing shit really needed to stop awhile ago.

I'd suggest watching Andrew's track-by-track breakdowns that AP has been posting but it's clear it wouldn't really make a difference to you. To me, having preconceived notions about music is unfortunate and frankly kinda pisses on the potential impact it can have on you but I'm not going to waste my time. For the record, blink's new record is pretty god damn depressing and doesn't seem to bother most people. It's all about what you're willing to take from it. Thomas D.
Blink's album isn't depressing. Don't mistake depressing with negative. One of my favorite bands is Motion City Soundtrack and they write some really negative songs but they deliver them beautifully. Their negative songs actually sound like happy songs if you know what I mean. Jack's Mannequin sounds like a crying dude who wants to end it quickly. Fuck, I just listened to the next song and guess what, he's singing about how we're all gonna die someday. You got to be kidding me. It's a shame because Something Corporate wrote some beautiful songs back in the day.
lmnop
listened to a majority of the tracks. some of them were really good. a few were boring. but its hard for me to get in the right mood to listen to JM anyway. i loved the first album. barely enjoyed the 2nd. and id say i like this one about as much as number

Thomas D.
What's your point? Is jesus christ really all you can say to defend yourself? So he tells us why he wrote it, doesn't change the fact that it's depressing and unpleasant.
Jimmy John
Then don't listen to it. Simple.
