What's The Last Movie You Watched?

Taking my two older daughters to see the Mario movie tonight. I don't think any of us are super excited to see it but it's a good excuse to have some fun quality time with the kids so I'll take it.

Super Mario movie was really fun. If this had come out when I was a kid it would 100% have been my favorite movie, no doubt. Really was successful in making me want to play Mario too lol, might have to finally play through Odyssey which I’ve had for years but have barely touched.

I can’t really enjoy animated kids movies anymore, unless it’s Star Wars, and that’s just because I live and breathe Star Wars haha. I have no interest in Disney or Pixar or anything like that anymore but I guess my love for Mario runs deep enough to override that because I had a blast watching it. Very fun and silly and nostalgic.

It was so good. We’ve seen it twice now. 🤣🥰 & we’re playing a ton of Mario, but that’s pretty normal all the time here.

My kids love Odyssey, but I didn’t care for it….I didn’t try to play myself though & I was always stuck being Cappy. Not fun for me….maybe I’ll try alone one of these days too. 🤣

The game was just okay. I ended up beating it ‘cause it’s a pretty easy game but by the time I was halfway through I had already decided I wasn’t going to bother doing anything but the bare minimum to beat it. The fun is real but it’s not real fun.

My favorite part about the game…was Peach & Mario in wedding attire. Inspired us to have the nerdiest wedding cake around. 🤣

also…”are you hard at work, or hardly working?” Is something I say often. “The fun is real, but it’s not real fun,” will now be a permanent fixture in my vocabulary. Thanks bestie!

I have to say it, I’m not a fan of the animation style of the new TMNT. I want to see it and I probably will but I really don’t like how it looks.

I really liked the look of it actually, & I especially liked that they look like “teenage” turtles. I’m really excited about it.

Odyssey is a classic. Have played it through like 3 times now with my kids.

They're playing SNES Mario now. Makes me feel like a video game wizard showing them all the secrets I remember by heart from playing so much as a kid.

My kids are awful at video games… it’s embarrassing and a touchy subject for me.

I watched the Grand Budapest Hotel last night. What an odd movie. Kind of good in a weird way, but doesn't really go anywhere in the end? Trippy watch

I can’t stand Wes Anderson movies, I know people really like them but I’ve never made it through a single one.

I watched the new Matrix as it was free to stream. It felt really disjointed and some of the shots were really poorly filmed, especially the slow mo scenes that were choppy af. I actually thought the general plot had potential but was just so poorly executed. I hope they put a fork in this franchise

Yep I’m looking forward to it! I loved part 1, but it was basically just a set up

I stopped reading the book where the first movie left off so now I need to read the rest of it before the second part comes out.
