Fishguts182
Worker bee always felt like it was a Christmas carol or something. Like the vocal melodies are carolly or something, anyone else know what I mean? Totally

radioactive tomdog
Could someone please explain the meaning of Box elder? It's a tree but what is he trying to say? i believe he's referring to the box elder bug i can only image he was writing outside somewhere, saw the bug, and wrote the song. it makes a lot of sense with the line "hey box elder, take me with you"
Thomas D.
Listened to the record when I was driving home. I don't like it. Sorry, MCS.
WIGGUM
cant get that "hey box elder" line out off my head haha tom sings that melody at some point in love part 2 i think. its at the end of a song but i forget which one.
Broken English
Timelines is by far the best thing they've released since the CTTM days. The lyrics are fucking amazing. I don't get why people are hating on Justin's voice, it sounds great here, and it's not too far into falsetto to push it into the annoying side of things for me. _Kyle_
Box Elder is also a Pavement song, which Justin is a huge fan of.

Broken English
The album as a whole is pretty bad on first listen. I hope it improves drastically with repeats. As I've said though, Timelines is fucking amazing, and almost redeems the album of it's mediocrity. I just wish the rest of the album was like that song. Rand0m
I thought that for a start, but it's a grower alright.
Thomas D.
Yeah I agree. Too bad that the album has to grow on me before I like it though.

WIGGUM
the opening song and "the coma kid" are pretty sweet. other than that its meh. almost a little to soft. (that's what she said).
Rand0m
Okay I've listened to it 20+ times. I absolutely love it now. The songs are quite slower than the previous records. Justin's voice is perfect.
Meltdown Tracker
Damn, looking at the responses in this thread, this album seems like a bit of a disappointment for fans. I thought EIIKM was awful, and MDL was pretty decent, sucks this band has been declining lately. I'll still give this a few runs though.
