Compared to everything else that has gone up, and how much content these games have nowadays, they are really worth about $150-$200 honestly. I don't love the new 'super content pack but not thriving in one mode specifically + DLC', but they are worth more nowadays. I'm still playing Battlefront 2 right now, best game I've had for the ps4 honestly. Coight if you're still on the fence, it's like $18 right now and a very casual shooter. It's not like call of duty. You can camp out and defend command posts, set up turrets and such, or go out in groups to take over other's... or grab a vehicle and go blast people.. or a jetpack man.. or a Jedi once killed enough. Or go in the sky, all in the same map. Sometimes I just roll around as a droideka and distract everybody and freak them out so my teammates can infiltrate. Oh, also you can be an ewok and hide in bushes and stab people or shoot arrows without being seen. I think games are worth what they charge atm. But I also get that if you can get it cheaper by waiting and you’re happy to do that then that’s definitely a thing to do. I have it Jan. just no interest in playing it. Sorry! Maybe one day when I’ve got absolutely nothing else.

I think they announced it this morning, so yeah, not much notice. Nintendo isn’t attending E3 so this wasn’t super surprising though. There are patterns. Early year(feb), mid year(June/e3) and then late(sep) are the general times you can expect one but they don’t necessarily stick to it. They’re only ever announced a day or two in advance.
Coightstanza
Good news : We’re definitely getting some Zelda info tomorrow Bad news : Nintendo is hiking up the prices of their first party games
Cheerios4u98
Shit, I still haven’t adjusted to $60 games yet. After the GameCube/Wii era it’s just ingrained in my head that video games cost $50. Even though that hasn’t been the case for a while now.

It’s not a next gen console. Unless Nintendo is announcing the switch 2 tomorrow the price hike seems unfair.
RELEASE SOMETHING
Yeah next gen makes sense because they are essentially massive computer games now, switch feels kinda gross jumping that high

They have had some bizarre takes on competitive gaming tournaments, online play (took them like 3 generations to put together a half decent platform), and making past gen games available on the virtual console (the Nintendo DS ambassador program gave access to certain games, and if you missed it, you were SOL). They have some strange approaches for sure.

Cheerios4u98
Funny thing is I have a clear memory of saving up $70 to buy Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 on the N64. Games actually got cheaper for a while and they’re just starting to go back up in price.

It just seemed like more of the same, show a bit more of the game and enemies. I’m sure the YouTube sleuths will puzzle it all out and ever secret will be revealed in an hour or two.
