thongrider
I'm currently Reading two political books, one fiction and one non-fiction. Dissident Gardens, an American book about communists in the US and a Norwegian book about the GOP and American politics, it's called Among Repuplicans and tries to explain how GOP is so huge in the US to Norwegians. thongrider
I just started reading The Drunkard's Walk. A book about the significance of chance in life. It's an interesting concept. Anyone here on goodreads?
Thibaut182
Here are some recent book recommendations from my collection that I really enjoyed 😃 I Want My MTV The Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution by Rob Tannenbaum and Craig Marks. This is a massive book and it's a must have for all the music video nerds, so much information with more than 400 interviews with artists, music video directors, VJ's, television and music executives. Access All Areas by Barbara Charone. Another book writtten by a music publicist that worked with Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode, Elton John, Mark Ronson just to name a few. Hell of a Hat The Rise of '90s Ska and Swing by Kenneth Partridge. An amazing book on the third wave of 90s ska! As If! The Oral History of Clueless by Jen Chaney. The best book about Clueless told by the director, the cast and the crew of the movie! Talk '90s With Me by Matt Pais. A very very interesting book that asks actors unexpected questions with a ton of research on their careers and movies!
Maddey
I just finished the Iliad. Took me a couple months to get through but I enjoyed it. Was much more engaging than I expected. Now I’ve picked up a book about how pigs in the meat industry are treated in norway and I’m not even sure I’ll manage to read it but it’s the plan at least. Norwegians are nice so I’m sure they’re treated lovingly.

And he's grass fed. And he'll be pulled at some point.

Ha, I really wish that was the case though The book is written by someone who worked undercover in the industry for several years to document and from what I’ve heard it’s pretty horrible stuff
allsystemsgo
I started Roadside Picnic via audible (free credit), but ended up just buying the book. I found it interesting enough to want to read it at a quicker pace which isn't something I normally do. If anyone's familiar with the STALKER games, this was what that series was inspired by. Interesting stuff.

Jans Username
I finished the Dark Forest by Liu Cixin, pretty great ending. Excited to check out the final book of the trilogy and Netflix film. Finishing up the Fall of Hyperion now and started Shogun as well. Both pretty gripping books so far.

Showtime just put out a trailer for a miniseries based on it, coming out next year. This book is massive, like 1,200+ pages. Surprised they could cover it all in a miniseries.
