Been on a sci fi tear lately. Caught up on the Expanse and am watching Battlestar Galactica now that I have a Prime subscription.

What are everyone’s top sci fi shows? My ranking would be something like

1. Rick and Morty

2. Firefly

3. The Expanse

4. LOST

5. Black Mirror

6. Stranger Things

7. The Mandalorian

8. Westworld (season 1)

9. X-Files

10. Dark

The battle star remake is brilliant and probably in my top 10. Idk if Firefly or mando count as Sci fi despite being in space as they're much more western in style. Love both though.

Something that never gets enough credit for me is Babylon 5, that shit had some hidden gold.

Still very slowly making my way through the entire MCU.

Turns out Agents of SHIELD actually got really good. Who knew? I gave up on that show so many times before.

The Punisher was the only Marvel Netflix series I hadn't seen before now, and now I think it's actually my favorite one! The one with zero superheroes in it! Haven't seen season 2 yet but season 1 was fantastic.

Falcon and Winter Solider is pretty great. Not too fun to speculate or theorize about like WandaVision was because it's just so normal in comparison, but I'm enjoying it as an action show. Definitely not as hyped to see it week to week as I was with WandaVision, but it's good.

That’s fair (same applies to Westworld), although both Firefly and Mando have a fair amount of space scenes. Serenity felt more sci fi than Firefly though IMO. My list is broad because there really aren’t that many good sci fi shows out there.

I'm hoping that improves with time, sci fi is my go to genre for games, books, films, etc. I can see what you mean about Serenity. Generally felt different from Firefly in a lot of ways.

I found it confusing when the start of the battlestar pilot opened with “previously on..” so fortunately I stopped it right away and googled and found the mini series you were supposed to start with. Still think Amazon should put them together in the correct order so people doesn’t miss anything if they’re not as smart as me and google it.

Anyways, here’s ten shows I really enjoy/enjoyed, without ranking:

Dark Matter

Battlestar Galactica

Defying Gravity

Lost in Space

Nightflyers

Origin

Another Life

The Orville

Star Trek: Discovery (first two seasons)

Mars

I had the same issue haha. I had to google it first. Although the miniseries does come up first, and it shows the years (miniseries being the earliest of them all). Still, difficult to initially understand.

I'm almost done Part 2 of the miniseries. It's filmed all around the city I live in so it's fun to recognize spots. The hangar bay for the spaceship is just one of our ferries lol.

I never watched it, BSG was easy enough to get into without it tbh.

@twentytwentyI liked Lost In Space (the new version) a lot but Another Life had such a poor start I turned it off.

I love a lot of Star Trek but I gave up on Discovery. Lower Decks though was surprisingly great!

@Scott.Can I have some Line of Duty advice? I keep hearing about it on social media and I haven't watched any of it, which is nuts considering how much I like british crime drama. So can I just roll right in and start on this season everyone is talking about - or is that sacrilege and I have to start from season 1?

No you have to start season 1. It’s absolutely fucking immense. It’s like the biggest tv show over here atm. You will love it Elisa. There’s 5 eps in season 1 and then 6 eps in season 2,3,4,5 and 7 eps this season so it shouldn’t take you to long to make your way through them

Been watching this shockingly awful and cheesy Netflix sitcom called Country Comfort. it's so old school and cringe that I can't actually look away.

Idk why I sometimes watch absolute wank, makes me giggle.

I put this on my list. Started watching it now. I know this was sort of a warning, but damn, this is bad. I hate the laugh tracks. Old school and cringe is a good description.

The music is cool though I guess.
