He deserved it, that corporate sell out...where's all this new Sum 41 music he's been boasting about all over his page anyways? "New songs"? Pfft, get real - it's just ridiculous how selfish this man can be; he has a duty to us fans to be the entertainer we expect him to be and not cop out on this lame-ass excuse as being an "alcoholic". And is that a receding hairline I see!? KARMA MAN!

....there is a difference between being indifferent to a unlikely studio fire and wishing someone would die. Don't mock me using bullshit tactics.

Did anybody else read his post and instantly thought of A Clockwork Orange where Alex jumps out the window and wakes up in the hospital?

I know people who have been told the same thing regarding alcohol, the whole one more drink and you will die. It was devastating for them but despite what they previously thought, they didn't actually want to die.

life without alcohol would be pretty lame..just get drunk on the weekends people

You saying that and the people liking it, that's pretty insensitive and stupidly simplified. Addiction doesn't just work itself out on the weekends.

No guys, alcoholics are just stupid and can't stop drinking cause they're stupid. If you don't buy beer, then you won't drink it. It's that simple. Right Ghent?

sorry you're sensitive about it beth, but you're grasping here. i understand alcoholism very well..based on my genes, i am severely prone to alcoholism. several of my extended family members were alcoholics. 3 of my great grandpas were drunks, one was the president of AA in my area.

i respect that it's a serious condition, but I do think that many people choose to allow themselves to become addicted.

Simple words to live by, I've seen far too many people think that they can and essentially should drink every night.  Don't bother trying to tell them they're foolish though, everyone thinks they are invincible when they are young, couple that with addiction and you got yourself a major problem.

Probably all that "straw action" they have going, people get stupid with vacuum vapors.

I drank every night but Sundays for about a year in college. Was pretty awesome, but I did start to see some strange effects from it. I started having slight tremors in my neck when I talked to people sober. Weird shit. Don't regret it, was fun as hell, but can see how it could get completely out of hand.

Luckily I never drank in the mornings or during the day. I just can't do that. I like drinking at night until I pass out.

I think by technical standards, more than like 3 drinks a week makes you an alcoholic. most of us here are probably fucked by those standards lol
