Singing & Playing Guitar

Aghh if there's one more thing frustrating than girls, it's singing and playing guitar. If anyone knows anything about me, you'll know that I'm prolly a little bit better singer than a guitarist. But like today I tried singing and playing "Those anarcho punx are mysterious" by Against me! and fuck it was hard and it frustrated the fuck out of me. I'm not sure if the singer does the guitar riff in the beginning or if he does the rhythm guitar. Eh, I just want to learn to play it and sing it too. Does anyone know of any excerises I can try? Like is there a book on it?

yeah. singing and playing gets hella easy once you're used to it. i always tell people that you just need to know the song better than you know your wang

once playing the song is 2nd nature, singing will be a breeze.

what helps me is i find parts in the singing that are sung at the same time as a hard change in the guitar part. and practice that part alot

It's easy for me.

Just know the song and the words and how it goes. Learn the song well enough to sing it without even the song.

Then learn the guitar part as well as you can. Play it along with the real song over the stereo.

Then play the guitar part and sing with it a lot with the stereo.

Practice.

Just practice. Try playing a simple strumming method and singing along with it, then playing with a more complicated guitar riff.

jk.... um yeah man it's practice, sing ALOT your voice will get better and it'lls all about being comfortable kinda like when you start playing drums its hard to play everyhting all at once, same deal

i guess i can see that. the muting pattern during the first verse could be tricky to play whilst singing.

or i should say tricky to sing whilst playing that.
