M!ke Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Very glad to see that he's able to make time for both bands. I think that's a sign of a man who truly recognizes how important this band was in getting him to where he is today. Quote

Ghost Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I love this guy. My god, he has improved tons over the years. Quote
platypus409 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Does Dan only perform songs in which he was the lead vocalist for? If so I respect him a bunch.I always wished Blink would have done the same when Tom left. No reason for songs like first date, wishing well or any other mainly Tom songs. There are so many good Mark songs that get neglected that they could have put back in the setlist. Don't Leave Me should be a setlist staple.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Also, Matt has appeared here and there singing it, specially acoustic. 1 Quote
JarJarBlinks Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Dan is such a weird dude. I can't stand his voice, I always skipped his songs on Alk3 records. Kind of a shame it annoys me so much because his lyrics are great. Quote
Ghost Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Well, in the end, is a matter of taste . In the beginning I liked more Matt's voice, but I really love how Dan's voice has evolved, also his songwriting. And yep, his lyrics are amazing. 1 Quote

Ghost Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 And is much better than the 'electric' version. Quote
Elisa Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Burned Is The House and In My Stomach are awesome, it's a such a shame they weren't included in the actual album. I was all for Skiba when I was younger but I started to appreciate Dan's songwriting way much more in the last ten years, he's definitely the better lyricist now. Quote

Definitely Dan has really strong lyrics. Fine is one of my late favourites: Quote ...If I'm the captain of this boat then all my shipmates are fools. And all the the stars in the world couldn't help me steer my way out of this kiddie pool... ...It's ironic that I drink to make my insides stop hurting. And it's love that gives me heartburn, It's a song that makes my stomach turn, And I wouldn't trade my hand for all the aces in the deck... Quote
Kay Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Dan's lyrics are amazing and I've always loved his voice. I always thought his voice was so unique for punk music. it's so deep and soulful and just different - I was so surprised the first time I heard his voice, and his voice is especially the reason I fell in love with them at first. Matt drew me in, but Dan got me to stay if that makes any sense. 1 Quote
_Kyle_ Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I hope he'll do Another Innocent Girl, that's been a top 5 alkaline trio song for me since 8th grade 1 Quote
Rocky Braveheart Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Absolutely adore 'Take Lots with Alcohol' If anyone knows of an acoustic performance of that song i would be one happy chappy Quote
Ghost Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I've been searching for this video again for so long. Oh Matt... dear. Quote
Rocky Braveheart Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 I found a series of videos of Alkaline Trio preforming on a rooftop a few years (I want to say around 2011-2013 sort of time) There was a bunch of fairy lights, small crowd and Matt had a green jacket on a bright bleach blonde hair. Does anyone remember these? I've looked since on the Youtubes and can't find them If anyone has them or knows where i can find them, please hook a brother up! Quote

Yup, its called drawing conclusions based on the evidence. You should try it sometime, sure you can be wrong sometimes, but at the very least there is a logic to the statement that you've given. 1 Quote
