Someone on the alkaline trio facebook group shattered all my hopes stating that Dan and Matt have spent that week (or two) together at the end of April because Alkaline Trio is releasing Past Lives by themselves, without the help of a label, so instead of recording music they were taking care of the Past Lives stuffs.

I knew he couldn't manage two bands at the same time. At least he just said it, so we won't hold on hope.

The only way to make Trio work, have the time to record something and do a proper tour is if blink takes 2 or 3 years off after the next album.

So it went from "Me and Dan and Derek have been writing new Alkaline Trio songs" in December, to "Alkaline Trio is on pause" in March..

Well they just announced a tour today so I guess they aren't dead yet.

That's awesome! So in March Matt had no idea about Alkaline Trio's future and now they just announced a pretty extensive tour. Maybe they'll release a few songs in the summer and then play them at these shows.

Maybe it actually was a recording session they did! Anyways, super stoked that they’re not dead just yet.. Opens up chances for a new album

Can not wait until August 3rd.  Been listening to the past live albums on spotify since they were released.  Should be an awesome set

if they come back to the UK I will do what I can to see them, It's only the last few years that I've reconnected with friends who love them to be able to not go alone and that's you know, when they haven't come over here lol
