Oh hi!

I was just reminiscing about Blink and broke out my old calendar to try to clear a few things up.

I overlooked my 1999 calendar, on which October 20 it says "Blink @ Empire." I believe this is the show they filmed for the MTV "The Road Home," which didn't come out until December of 2000? Crazy that the footage was over a year old, but it fits the timeline that this happened in 1999 and is on my calendar, so I'd say this is a pretty sure thing.

He also sent me a backstage laminate he saved from a show we went to in 1999 in LA:

Will post more if I can think of it

found an old school interview from @veeRob interviewing Tom during this show

7/5/1997: The band performs at Boreal Ridge in Soda Springs, California.

Rob Perelman runs san diego rocks which focuses on san diego music and concerts in the area. This is his interview with tom from blink 182. All rob's questions are in bold.

Can't remember if I talked about this interview before or not. I totally remember it, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't from Soda Springs cuz I wasn't at that show. San Diego Warped Tour maybe? And wasn't it like 1995 and not 1997? But whatever.

I brought a tape recorder to interview Tom and can't still hear his voice when I read this back. I transcribed it word for word by hand so I listened to that tape over and over again. My interview is terrible, I'm not sure if I even had interview notes, clearly I did not become a journalist. I just did this whole thing to get free tickets & backstage passes to the show from an online contest from warpedtour.com if I remember correctly.

Dave that did the first Blink site with me... his band opened this show and was trying to find this flyer. Do you have it somewhere? It looks like all of the links to this flyer are broken!

EDIT: Dave asked me to share these two pictures from their set opening up for Blink. In the first, you can see Mark and O in the background watching the set. In the second, he says: "why not-- that crowd was there for blink not cpm"

Wow, seeing bands like Embrace, Shed Seven and Super Furry Animals on here is mental.  Late 90's / early 00's was an underappreciated era of music.

I'm afraid this is all that we have for now. It's pretty low quaility. Most of the picture links on this thread end up expiring before they actually get updated on the timeline. We're leaving behind a lot of information while this happens...

Thanks for the pictures @veeRob

A little correction to the timeline 😃

This date didn't take place in April 1997, it took place in November 1997 on the Lagwagon European tour.

4/7/1997: The band performs Rock School Barby in Bordeaux, France (this particular event needs to be removed, the correct date is already added to the timeline under 11/07/1997).

found new date to add (with proof of picture from the actual show)

11/06/1997 : The band performs at the Club Dunois in Paris, France. Other bands included Lagwagon and Pulley.

Massive thanks to Jérome Treuvelot for this very cool picture of Mark wearing an OG South Park shirt and Tom playing his guitar with the stickers removed

Here's another correction of the timeline:

8/6/1998: The band performs at Skateworld in Boise, Idaho. Video 1 - It was recorded in Malibu, CA at the Malibu Riding & Tennis Club
Other bands included Home Grown, MxPx, and Jimmy Eat World.
This show was later broadcast (I believe on MuchMusic) as USA Summer Rental. - The show was aired on the 8th of June 1998 on a TV channel called USA/aka USA Network. Note the recording date remains unknown to this day as it happened prior to the airing date.

i was at this show. on the podcast i describe the incident in which my GF at the time, her lip was split open on the barricade and we were brought backstage by the band after the set. i've seen many flyers for it, but not this particular horizontal version. tom signed the back of my show flyer that night, "sorry about the lip"
