Remember that reel that sold on Ebay for that Board Stiff show This is so fucking awesome 😍. I do remember the reel, in fact the eBay listing was archived and still available here https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/blink-182-live-board-stiff-98-1881801188 I really hope that one day the full recording is uploaded on the net. 1 Quote
loserkidsrabbit Posted January 18, 2025 Posted January 18, 2025 Incredible discovery!! Although I hate to throw a spanner in the works, this is the same recording as the "Crystal Mountain" FM Broadcast based on the stage humour. Anyways, this begs the question of the date of the recording - I reckon that this is 1998-03-28 which means that there is no recording for 1998-04-03 Crystal Mountain Would be interesting in anyone who has been collecting blink bootlegs longer than me like @luisbootlegs is able to give any guesses on the date. Either way though - a new, way better source of this show circulating is monumental!!!! 1 Quote

The recently found audio is from this show with proof of the Discogs description : Side B: Live at the Summit at Snoqualmie, Snoqualmie Pass, WA - 1998/03/28 (Board Stiff) Quote
luisbootlegs Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 @loserkidsrabbit good catch. The songs are definitely the same as those found in the 1998-04-03 George, WA - The Crystal Mountain Ski Resort audio bootleg you linked above. This is just a different source. The 1998-04-03 George, WA - The Crystal Mountain Ski Resort audio bootleg has been around for many years. @Thibaut182 If we look closely at "Side 2" of the Blink-182 – Dancing With Myself - Unreleased Tracks vinyl listed on Discogs, it only states that the show was recorded in Washington 1998. It doesn't specifically mention the 1998-03-28 Snoqualmie Pass, WA - The Summit At Snoqualmie (Board Stiff) show. It is only in the description where the uploader claims that the show is the 1998-03-28 Snoqualmie Pass, WA show but that doesn't necessarily mean it's accurate. That said, I’m afraid I can’t be of much help, as I’m just as puzzled as you are. There’s a chance the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort show was mislabelled all along. There are no references throughout the audio bootleg that indicate the festival or city. If only someone would upload the Board Stiff audio reel to the internet, we could easily tell if we’re talking about the same show or a different one. @loserkidsrabbit @Thibaut182 Edit: I've just found this while combing through my personal archives, and it's a game-changer. This was taken from the 'Kitsap Sun' website Source: https://web.archive.org/web/20171019184554/http://web.kitsapsun.com/archive/1998/07-30/0067_on_stage_at_endfest.html The news above proves that the snowball fight started at the end of Blink's set at the Snoqualmie Pass fest. (Pay close attention to the end of 'Enthused,' the last song, and you'll hear Mark and Tom encouraging the snowball fight. The news above proves that the snowball fight happened at the Snoqualmie Pass fest, which means that the Crystal Mountain audio bootleg that @loserkidsrabbit linked above is mislabelled. It is actually just another version of the Snoqualmie Pass Board Stiff audio bootleg. It has been mislabelled all along." The Japanese bootleg Blink-182 – Dancing With Myself - Unreleased Tracks vinyl listed on Discogs indeed contains a different version of the same audio bootleg, a lot cleaner but still incomplete of the recording Quote

Thibaut182 Posted February 26, 2025 Posted February 26, 2025 New addition to the timeline website! found signed poster from an in-store performance the afternoon from this show and took place at Big Star Records in Adelaide, Australia (huge credits and massive shout-out to warragun on ebay for this gem) 12/14/1995: The band performs at Liberty in Adelaide, Australia Signed and "art"! by Tom Blink (DeLonge), Mark Hoppus and Scott Raynor. Signed at Big Star (not Brown Star!) Records, Adelaide. Must have been 14 December 1995 during Pennywise tour. A one off item from the collection of a former Big Star employee. Story is... 3 guys (no manager/ entourage etc, just the 3) came into the store, introduced themselves and asked if they could play an in-store gig that afternoon. It was quickly arranged, and they played to literally around 5 people, for an hour or so. Thibaut182 Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 New footage discovery! Found this amazing footage from that time Damon from Fenix TX played drums with the band back in 2000 Huge shout-out to Damon for sharing this amazing footage! More information from Damon on Instagram! Unearthed from an ancient hard drive. The only footage I’ve ever seen of the tour I did playing drums for Blink 182. One time a long time ago @fenixtx was on tour with Blink and Bad Religion. A few weeks in Travis broke his hand in a fight. I was still playing guitar in Fenix. Our tour manager mentioned to the Blink guys that I could probably do their set on drums. We ran through their entire show at sound check and it sounded good so I spent the next 5 weeks playing 2 sets a night. One with Fenix and another with Blink. I hadn’t played drums in years and had blisters all over my hands. It was Blink’s first time headlining arenas and the biggest tour Fenix TX ever did. Good times. 🤘🏽 2 1 Quote

I am not surprised though because his drumming on Lechuza was top tier. It’s funny though because at the time of the tour he was Fenix TX’s guitarist, not drummer…so their drummer had to have felt awkward knowing his guitarist was a better drummer than himself lol 1 Quote
