prankerd14 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Who really cares about the set list? (you all it seems) its skibas first lot of shows why would they play a load of pre enema songs anyway? He was there to fill in for tom originally, like most people have said if they tour its a greatest hits then moan all you want...Going through pages off this lame shit and people going round in circles about this set list is anoying...I want to see videos and discussion about matt and musink, set list is covered don't you think? So make a new thread and f off Quote
Cheerios4u98 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Everyone here complained about the setlist when Tom was still in the band, but now that he's gone it's like we're not allowed to say anything bad about Mark, Travis, and Matt. Everyone just wants to hate Tom. The setlist still sucks just as much as it did before. I think it's reasonable that they didn't mix it up much for these shows. It makes sense. I'm not blaming them for not changing it. It's only a big deal because of what Mark said to try to hype the setlist up. He always does that and never delivers. In the past everyone complained about it, probably because they thought it was Tom's fault. But now that it still happens and is clearly Mark's fault nobody cares because they only want to be mad at Tom. I know that's an exaggeration, but that's honestly what it feels like right now. I'm not upset about the setlist staying mostly the same. Like I said, it makes total sense. I am annoyed about being tricked by Mark for the 30th time. And please don't get me wrong, I loved watching these performances. I was smiling like an idiot when I watched the first live video of blink with Skiba. I stayed up late all three nights refreshing my YouTube search so I could watch the videos as soon as they were uploaded. I'm happy with where the band is now. I'm more excited about blink-182 than I have been in years. Mark just needs to stop making the sets out to be something amazing when they're hardly different. 4 Quote
dildo69er Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Nope, addition of 2/3 dropped songs of dysentary/wendy/going away i dont count M+M's because they played that at nearly every show over 2013 and in the interludes and shit pre breakup. honestly isnt good enough when you mention playing "deep cuts" they are not deep cuts. I understand not doing it but dont say you are doing deep cuts and can play more songs etc and then bring to the table that. 1 Quote
Pancho Poncho Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I was at the concert and I was not concerned about the setlist. I just wanted to be part of the whole shenanigans of the show. And the band delivered, as well as the fans. Happy times are here. Might as well enjoy the ride. 1 Quote
Russel Coight Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I've never once cared about the setlist. I've said it here before thatd Id gladly watch them play atst 20 times then call it a night and still be stoked with seeing my favorite band. It's the double standards showing up in these threads that's getting annoying. 1 Quote
redhotbrianpeppers Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 It's true that people are giving blink a free pass with the setlist now, but I think that's because it's a minor issue, and the more pressing issues have literally just been resolved. Step 1 - get a guitarist who gives a shit. Step 2 - teach that motherfucker as many songs as you can. Step 3 - go out and kick some ass. Step 4 - ..... Step 5 - profit. For the time being, the setlist blink played at these shows is fine. I understand that Mark was perhaps a bit out of line saying they would play "deep-cuts" and bringing up playing older stuff, but maybe they tried and had to drop some songs due to time restraints. Overall, I think people are just trying to be positive and supportive of blink right now. Even if it's just on this forum, it's important to put out good vibes. 2 Quote
Ghost Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I would really enjoy to see some faces here if tom came back again and started to destroy the songs (and the set), again. HA! Quote
dildo69er Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 not sure if this has been posted but you can hear the vocals quite good on this one >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dCc_n6V0Wc 2 Quote
MSandt Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Anyone got a downloadable video of the full show? Quote
Jon Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Right now I couldn't give a shit about the setlist, I'm just so goddamn stoked to see Mark happy again. If they go on a tour and it stays the same though it would be pretty exasperating. 1 Quote
_Kyle_ Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Yeah, the setlist could be better (just drop two hit songs for obscure-er songs) but honestly they have to keep 65% of it being hits no matter what to reach everybody. I wish, wish, wish, wish they would pick up Emo or Online Songs. 1 Quote
Jon Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I really think they need Pathetic in there. Its kind of criminal how they ignore so many songs off what is arguably their best album. 3 Quote
Ghent Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Online Songs or Party Song would be amazing. Party Song gets chants all the time. it would be a good, fun addition. Crowd went crazy when they played it in KC. 1 Quote

This means Soma was only the 4th time post reunion that they played the song live, which I'd say definitely makes it count with Dysentary, Wendy Clear, and Going Away to College. Quote
Rocky Braveheart Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 M+Ms isn't even on TMTTS. That always surprised me tbh Quote
