I hope Mark takes lead vocals though and just leaves Matt to deal with the guitars. Mark Hoppus: travis, matt, and i are heading into the studio to continue writing songs in the next few days. there are already a couple of ideas working from before i left for the summer. lots more to come in the future. it may take some time, but it begins now. yup, and it's pretty fucking lame that people leaked it. bennett Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 i actually kind of wish it was under a new band name. not because of the whole stupid its not blink without tom argument. blink has just left a terrible taste in my mouth for the past 8 years. so much disappointment and let down. i hear the name blink nowadays and i i connect it with negative thoughts. hopefully they'll just reinvent the band with these new tunes and it'll feel like a whole new band anyway Quote

"People think they are all special now because Mark posts in a little secret group." - no, it's the opposite. mark thinks the group is nifty because it's only 200 some odd people, and most folks talk to him like a regular person and don't gush and act all stupid (**most**). that's why he chose to drop that little bit of news about going into the studio. i say it's lame that people leaked it, because it discourages mark from posting on the page again. it was a foolish thing to do. i'm not arguing for exclusivity so that people can be "proud" to be members of the group or something. i couldn't care less. it was just, tactically, stupid. a more sensible approach would have been not to directly quote mark (that's what makes it a 'leak') and to just paraphrase, saying they are headed into the studio. . Kay Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 There is absolutely no way Mark would expect that not to leak. absolutely no way whatsoever. as for the album itself, as much as I miss Mark, I hope it's more 50/50. maybe 60/40 Mark weighted. or at least, lots of songs with both of their vocals. I think balance is the best way to go and I'm excited for 'new life'. if it was just Mark singing, it would definitely seem like a second +44 record. 1 Quote
