Kay
I had a tour of an analog studio, once, for the chance to get on a degree. they were boasting teaching both and as much as I thought learning analog would be, for the most part, a waste of time, I couldn't get over how beautiful it was. Benjirob
Feldman - "I like the singer to track no more than a 16 bar section". No wonder they can't pull the songs off live.
Ghost
Definitely, I don't like that way of working. I don't like the "lets-record-this-little-riff-and-then-add-little-pieces-to-the-puzzle-for-the-mixer-to-tweak-of". Is everything techy, but way far to being natural and real. And I guess that's what Grohl was talking about when all the buzz he made with that documentary about Sound City.
Ghent
Blink-182 has always been a band known for their artistic integrity. Especially in the studio. Organic as fuck. Just listen to Enema of the State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. Love the minimalist production on those albums. Everything is basically recorded in one take! #art
_Kyle_
Man, good to know Kevin and I were totally right about this album and how badly it was produced.
boxelder
i've actually really come around to like Los Angeles. very different for the band but it works
Ghent
The two favorite songs of the Feldmann haters here...Los Angeles and No Future. To me, those are by far the most overtly Feldmann tracks. Doesn't make sense to me!
Ghost
I think that my three favourite tracks on California, finally, are: Bored To Death, Cynical and She's Out Of Her Mind.
Blink182life-4life
Bored to death cynical Hisalp San Diego and no future redeem this record. Everything else ranges from adequate to horrendous. My opinion on the record continues to evolve but overall it could have been better. Zoltan
i really like this acoustic cover of left alone. the best song on the album anyway.
theedge00
sounds like a paramore song when she sings it.
2point5
Bored To Death came on the music channel when I was getting ready for work this morning. Reminded me how good that song really is. It's clear why they chose it as the lead single for the album.
Helen Hoppus
according to last trav's snaps feldy is not only the producer and he's also apparently their new manager. or this interviewer just don't know what she's talking about? Kay
I still put Bored To Death as one of the worst on the record.
Helen Hoppus
i love btd, but against the background of some other album's songs it seems more weaker.

Some of the songs are completely forgettable. My favourites are Cynical, Home is Such a Lonely Place, Rabbit Hole and She's Out of her Mind as it's been stuck in my head for a week. Kings of the Weekend and Bored to Death are pretty good too.
thongrider
I don't like Cynical too much to be honest.
