Jan Backing Track
Yo this legit has become one of my favorite movies upon second viewing and letting it sit. Still hate that ending brutality scene, nearly ruins it for me. What this movie goes for is awesome though, no plot like at all and just the biggest hangout movie and love letter to everything Quentin grew up on

I think this was early on and he was thinking about everyone who he knew who knew her. So I guess that's another big connection I didn't know about. Yeah something about his glasses being left at the house? All pretty crazy. Love how it was changed to something as simple as Leo hating hippies flooding LA and them going to the wrong house. Again though, wish he didn't ruin the movie with the damned brutality. Is what it is. I was thinking this might sit up there with IB and Pulp Fiction at times, it's so nicely shot and unique. I don't get this outrage about Bruce Lee though. The daughter is acting super offended, thought it was a great scene and just a Brad Pitt fantasy. Loved that scene actually. But I think this was about as sensitive as QT is going to get with his own work. To me this falls in the Jackie Brown level of his oeuvre, in that I just enjoy it for what it is and the characters and the great filmmaking. I think after 50 years, you can't really do damage to a person and they eventually just become part of the culture in that way. Bruce Lee to me in the film represents another soul who's life was cut too short. Spiritually him and Sharon are tied together in that way and I get why he even put it in there. So the ending didn't bother you at all? It was the most violent scene of any Tarantino movie imo. Kind if came off as desperate to me from QT. This was so tame to me.
BobbyCuomo
Literally didn’t seem over the top at all. Maybe surprising, as the movie kind of lulls you into not expecting it, but perfectly in place within Tarantino’s world.
Matt Skiba > Brian May
So **Spoiler** repeatedly bashing a girl's face into a brick wall, a fireplace mantle, a telephone receiver, down on a table for around 8 minutes and showing us the entire thing, almost from a pornographic view is chill for you guys? Nice I've never had to look away in a Tarantino film before. The violence has always been over the top and almost cartoonish, or at least has the decency to pan away in tougher scenes like this. But he filmed it pornographically

Speedo
I feel like Jan is telling us he got a boner during the head smashing bit and is ashamed of it.
_Kyle_
bizarre considering how into QT he seems to be. like this is barely bothersome.
Matt Skiba > Brian May
Maybe I have a softer spot for female characters in movies? Idk, I try to picture if that was the guy and I still think I'd be majorly put off by it. More just the way it was shot. Watching a face turn into a stump like that screaming misery for 8 minutes is just haunting me. The movie was otherwise very tame yes, but Speedo you haven't even seen the movie... I just feel like we got the point after the first few beatings... I enjoyed Leo's flamethrower though Reading around, I'm not the only one with this reaction to it, as a lot more unsettling than normal, for QT even. and yes I'm using my sock from this computer. At least I don't have full conversations with myself between accounts like most you socklords.
