The blink 182 general discussion topic

interesting article, says blink is synonymous with "punk" to today's kids according to spotify data (second only to green day). no doubt will piss off plenty of folks (with good reason), but the goal isn't to redefine what's considered "punk" and what's not, but to see how language evolves over time

at this rate, 5SOS will be the biggest punk act to kids of 2038.

Has anyone gone to any of the emo club nights that's have been popping up? I know Mark DJs the one in LA. I went to my first one on Friday in Brooklyn it was amazing! Ace Ender's was the surprise guest. If the other ones across the country are half as fun as the one I went to I highly recommend you guys check em out.

I've been to the LA one 4 or 5 times. Always so much fun. I saw Mark DJ the first couple times he did it last year (I think February and March).

Well, that's how the industry works and how is meant to work. Is able to pervert original meanings.

Is not a question about language, is about manipulation and how the industry centers the spot on one thing and not other. And people, as sheeps we are, just swallow it all.

I think it was January and March because I remember there was a month in between his two appearances. I went to the first one he appeared but I got there super late and the line was soooo long.

I know his first one was February because that was the first one at the Echoplex instead of The Short Stop where they held the first two, so perhaps Feb and April then? I could have sworn he played back to back months. Yeah I thankfully got there like 20 minutes before doors that first time...I was still probably 500 people back. Can only imagine how insanely long the line got haha.
