Just want Mark, Travis & Skiba to get in a recording studio and just write about 15 songs and focus on them over the space of like 5-6 months then someone like Neal Avron or Bill Stevenson popping in from time to time like Jerry Finn did with the smiley face album or +44 album.

Don't want co-writers or other producers saying there's no "classic blink" sound, saying there's no song that could be a single or asking what makes blink-182, blink-182? Especially don't want co-writers talking over each other and jamming with a guitar whilst other co-writers are shitting out a verse in 5 minutes.

I rate Nine as a good album but this method of recording an album would make a way better album I think. Definitely would be way better than the pile of trash called California as well.

I really want this to happen before Tom comes back because Skiba was never given a chance as  a songwriter

He's better in blink though. Alkaline Trio is pretty stinky

Do we know anything about new Alk3? It seems with blink doing seemingly nothing (or at least Matt doing nothing with blink) that would make lots of time to focus on Alkaline Trio. I loved the last EP and I want more.

They’ve been touring and I think they’re working on new stuff im not actually sure

Alkaline Trio is fine, but we really overrate them on here.  Cringey really to act like they're better than they are.

Yea exactly. It doesn’t offend me at all but it’s just silly. And definitely doesn’t fit with blink culture. I saw an interview not too long ago with blink and they were asked about their preshow rituals or something and Skiba mentioned doing something stupid with the Bibles in the hotel rooms. I can’t remember what it was exactly but I just remember thinking “ wowwwww you’re so edgy bro” lol

I got into blink at 10 years old and alkaline trio two years later. Been one of my favourite bands since and Skiba has influenced my writing style on electric as much as Tom has.

I fucking love the dude.

I like the sekrets song lucifarian blues a lot but I just can’t get down with ak3. I didn’t wanna hate hard because I still give them respect, it’s just not for me. I def wouldn’t say skibas offered better work in blink lol

Trio has been my 2nd favourite band forever. Skiba one of my favourite songwriters ever. All his side projects as well as trio stuff is amazing.

He’s not the “riff” guy and I never really understood the choice of him in blink- I still maintain Justin Pierre would’ve been better - but he’s such a good songwriter, it’s been very frustrating not seeing his “spark” in blink. Its like all the ingredients are there for cookies and someone made a fucking salad instead.
