He's definitely not Eddie Van Halen, but some of his rhythm and songwriting is close - sorry to break it to you.  He isn't as good at tapping and soloing but his palm muting is around the same.  People evolve.  Is what it is.

The new Mario Golf sucks compared to the GameCube version. They took away camera features that helped you aim your shots. It’s poopoo. $60 I wish I spent on something else.

And here’s Concert for Aliens, also better than anything blinks done in 15 years.  

I know it’s tough to see it laid out all plain and simple like this for you, has to hurt a little I guess.

You’re not laying anything out for me, lol those songs are trash! Chances are he isn’t even playing guitar on them (credited for guitar on less than half the album!). If he’s such a great guitarist, why did they only let him play guitar on 5 out of 12 songs on his own album? Why does he need backing tracks and backup guitarists to play all the small things, the most simple one guitar track song ever recorded? It’s clear he doesn’t even play that song the whole way through and you don’t hear any extra guitar or less guitar when he’s playing or not playing. Maybe you just don’t have an ear/eye for these sort of things and that’s okay. And nothing he’s done is better than blink, that’s so silly to say.  It’s okay to like him but you should be more realistic about his capabilities and what he’s actually doing. That’s all, I got nothing but love for you

His songs and albums are good, at least enough to be very popular, kinda like blink 182 back in the early 00s.  

I don’t care if he’s playing guitar or not (and he is!).  Your hate for him is fucking weird.  It’s super duper weird.

Honestly if you took Blink 182 and Van Halen, mixed it together then had a baby with Eminem (Marshall), you'd sort of get M.G.K.

My two favorite tracks by him. Scoobs nailed it again.

I will say, I definitely don't go to him for 'guitar' licks. Not sure what Diddy's on. I think he keeps wanting to find someone else here to hate on him with, but it isn't changing.

I don’t know about every performance, but MGK usually plays a rhythm guitar that is less pronounced than all the other musicians. Kind of like the rare time Chester played guitar live with Linkin Park.

It’s not weird, and I’m hardly the only one who realizes this shit and makes fun of MGK for it. I’m just the most pronounced one about it on this board. Go anywhere else where there are fans of music and MGK gets shit on hard. Believe it or not, some people actually care about authenticity. He has ZERO of that. Carry on
