Shit, Jan still loves the dude What are you even going on about? Him & Travis made something decent. No one was a fan of MGK prior to that point, at least that I'm aware of, I remember one party song with him and Wacka Flocka or something prior to that at least a decade prior. They made something surprisingly good, they've done nothing after. It is what it is ?♂️ Hating on this one guy hardly anyone cares about is just weird dude. It's sort of beneath us, as in - his demographic is like pop or punk teens. Early 20s maybe? No one gives a shit. 1 1 Quote

By the way, the only people who thought MGK beat Eminem in a rap beef are the ones who think MGK made “punk” music…aka you, lol. Aka, anybody that knows rap, says MGK was a joke. Just like anyone who cares about quality punk and pop/punk music knows MGK is a joke at that too. See a trend here? Quote

Sorry but regular joe and comfortable Eminem just doesn't do it for me. I'd argue MGK might lack talent but definitely seems to be pretty passionate about making music - although pretty shitty at it, that's like the one thing you sort of need to give him. I'm happy Eminem is sober or whatever for his own being, but it's definitely made his music and his whole brand just garbage. Never seen someone go from pinnacle to so bland like that. I mean blink california/nine comes close. Eminem - Without Me to whatever the fuck he does with Rhianna now is just horrible. You’re so dumb and biased it’s not even funny. I’d rather hang with Tom than Em anyday, but em has more talent in one verse than Tom does in an entire concert of miming guitar lol. Just stop dude . MGK is passionate about trying to stay famous and relevant. You’re a fucking clown for these last two comments 1 Quote

There’s nothing subjective when trying to judge talent between MGK and Eminem, lol. One is talented and writes his own music, the other doesn’t. One is a pioneer and the other is a copy cat. One doesn’t give a shit what he looks like to sell records, the other heavily relies on it . Your argument is the equivalent of a trump supporter saying “I’m voting for the lesser evil.” Lol ignorant and wrong Quote
Coightstradamus Posted February 21, 2024 Posted February 21, 2024 Tickets was a good album. I don’t care about anything else. I enjoyed the fuck out of those songs. 1 Quote
blink182.net - Jan Posted February 21, 2024 Posted February 21, 2024 It's a Neck Deep & MGK - Tickets to my Downfall kind of morning over here ? Thanks for keeping the genre semi-relevant and afloat! I will always consider MGK's tickets, despite what you feel about him, I literally follow/listen to nothing from him outside 'the album', but in hindsight I will always put this album somewhere in the genre history as the album Travis & him made that 'bridged' the genre or kept it afloat a bit during COVID and a dying point too, or at least the bridge between the 'emo' rap (which was heavy influenced by pop punk) - with this excellent homage and total left field thing with MGK hosting it a former rap artist. It definitely holds some weight. Now you have stuff like Neck Deep coming back alive who were the youths before, and Blink & Alkaline slaying their veteran status with great 'comeback' albums. Now just waiting for that serious 'comeback' that leaves us all speechless. OMT was good, but I think they could do even better if they really wanted to. I really only think blink or Green Day can do this, and I've lost all hope in the latter ever moving anyone again. Quote

Champ182 Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Yo did anybody record/download that first Coachella set? I would really love to be able to watch that again but it seemed to disappear from the internet right after the broadcast. Anybody have it in their Google drive or anything? EDIT: Nevermind, here it is if anybody else is interested! God what a fucking amazing moment in Blink history. I'll never forget watching this live. https://mega.nz/file/WQV0EL6Y#obPgQfnQDRTRlw-ZyM7nQxQtVqObjnEl4etFmZDr8QI 2 Quote
