Movies though, more of that horseshit to come for sure. Monsters of California being dogshit doesn’t seem to have phased him. Did you watch it? Quote

Even if they suck he obviously has the money to do it so why not. I suck at a lot of things I’m passionate about but keep doing them. Jeez, he also made Spy Kids and Machete Kills. Let the man get some credit. Quote

Dude seems kind of creepy imo He’s definitely a deviant but he puts it out there, everyone knows. He’s not in the shadows doing it to unwilling participants. Quote

The second blink gets used only as a cash-cow, and the songs become "beneath him" like they were a few years ago, I'm back on the anti-Tom bandwagon. He's been absolutely great, hope it is for real this toime. This is who he is though. Not on us to try to change that. Just don't buy any TTS stake, problem solved. Quote

There's a chance he is just that much a super nerd and means well, but it's a bit of a toss up imo. Quote

Elisa Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 Tarantino only has like one movie left before he retires. I hope he gets it right. 1 Quote

I don't think he will because his last one was self indulgent as heck nonsense and everyone loved it, for whatever reason, so he has no reason to ground himself and make a masterpiece like he used to. The topic is interesting though, never know. The whole 'this is my last movie marketing for like a decade now seems overkill. Just end when you find it time. 1 Quote

Yeah, but I don't think that Tarantino wants to retire because he's worried about losing his GOAT status - his last movie proves that people love him no matter what - it's more because he writes his own screenplays and has long maintained he had a finite number of movies in him. Scorsese is on the other side of the spectrum, he just wants to tell stories because he lives and breathes cinema, he will probably die while working on a movie (and he still hasn't lost his GOAT status imo). Kay Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 I watched 50 minutes of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and gave up because nothing fucking happened. 1 Quote

QT is just a perfectionist so he thinks he needs to do this 10 movies deal or OCD, I don't know, but agreed 100%. They both live and breath movies, QT is just more a diva about it, Scorcese is just an old man who doesn't give a shit if people like his movies or not. I love them both but I'd probably give Scorcese the nudge because of that. Dinero in Irishman was hard to watch though. Both haven't made a movie that has made my jaw drop since 2012 however. 1 Quote
boxelder Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 couldn't give a shit less what tom does post-2024. it's a surprise he came back and was so committed and open the way he has been. like @radioactive tomdog said i was shocked they announced another somewhat substantial U.S. outing after such a huge run last summer. it does lend some credence to the concept that the reason tom was so "elsewhere"/unhappy for years might've been things at home. if that's the case, now that he's an empty nester and things have changed, i'm excited to see what he might bring to the table. but no pressure. at this stage of their lives and career, it's a miracle we're seeing them tour this much and still be so successful. i think we can expect to see a few gigs here and there in '25 and '26, and maybe a new album in '27 with another big run of shows, and maybe a RRHOF nod somewhere in there. they're firmly in legacy lap territory, where they make records when they feel like it and tour when it makes sense. i'm not holding them to the standards of even initial reunion era anymore. we've all gotten older. 4 Quote
Jan Mortensen Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 B Bu bu Tom doesn't care about blink why wuz he in the acceptance speitch if he only chase aliens and scams ppl? Did they edits out him asking for investor funds and his movie gofundme ;( ? 2 Quote

Dylan_ Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 It looks like blink italia or whoever he is was hinting that we could be getting a live album. It seems like they are using the pro shot from the Mexico show the other night. 1 1 Quote
