Yo what’s up, it’s me Thomas DeLonge! I don’t even play live anymore so I’m just as confused as you as to why I have a signature guitar! Anyways, I can’t find one cool or exciting thing to say about my new signature guitar (that is very different from the actual guitars I play). So make sure you donate to To The Stars, err, I mean buy my signature Fender! Fuck yea, punk rawk!

p.s. - thank you MGK for the inspiration on this sick color combo!

How does this sound so much better productionwise than Dude Ranch despite being older and I'm assuming lower budget? Was Trombino a hack? Dude botched it.

I will never get the DR sound hate. I definitely think it sounds better than the 1993 Love Songs mix. I think that was the first album Ben Weasel produced.

Really? Love Songs sounds so much cleaner. I'm just miffed at Dude Ranch, such a good record could have been amazing with a different mix.

Yeah for sure, Dude Ranch sounds very lo-fi. Not sure how/why that happened, but it obviously sounds much different than most 90s rock albums, especially anything on a major label. It gives it the album its own type of charm though of course haha.

Dude Ranch kind of sounds like shit, but I'm not sure it would be as good of an album if didn't lol

This "charm" is awful cope. Album sounds like ass. Why else would they remix its singles for the Greatest Hits?

Genuinely does not sound like 'ass' by any means.  Something about it not sounding 'perfect' is what makes it perfect..

Did Bach/Beethoven ever get heat for their concertos high frequencies not sounding exactly up to par with 2020's production standards?  No, it was a different time.  The production is an after thought.  Long live Dude Ranch (as is)

I don't think Bach/Beethoven had recording tech back then? Maybe wax cylinders. but I don't know.

Beethoven didnt get recording equipment until the last years of his life. He would spend every day listening to that shit. Used to talk to Edison on the phone all the time.

a remix of dude ranch is my white whale. if they remixed dude ranch to sound like the lord-alge single mixes it would instantly become a contender for their best album. the original mix is enjoyable and bold for its era, but it's so muddy.

realistically, a proposition isn't so far off. they just updated the repalcements' tim with a well-received remix. the beatles' AI-assisted stereo remixes have also been received rapturously. in their genre, green day fans prefer the HDtracks american idiot that takes away most of the compression.

I prefer original Tim and Beatles mixes too! I'm glad they've let Let It Be be so far m

I would be offended with an AI-remixed DR.

no thanks.
