Surprised no one posted this, but Travis says that Blink is playing a private show this year for the Mercedes company, and are taking a break to record.

Dude Ranch is so classic.  Never gets old.  Ages like fine wine.  Only gets overshadowed because Enema onwards.  I want another DR style output so bad 😥

Stupid that Dude Ranch would be on there but not Enema

Just as long as it's not toypaj or self titled I'm happy.

Did you see where they put Turnstile?! I enjoy them quite a bit but jfc.

There are way too many albums on that list that are punk-adjacent, at best, causing them to underrate/omit so many actual punk albums. Just admit you don't like punk music, Rolling Stone. 🙄

I feel like the albums lower on the list were better than most of those in the top ten.

Easily one of the most irritating best punk albums lists I’ve ever seen.
I am a huge Wire, Gang of Four, X fan but jesus christ, if you’re putting them in the top 10 alongside Patti Smith, the Stooges and the New York Dolls while the Dead Kennedys and DRI are buried at the bottom, just say it. You’re making an art punk/protopunk/post punk canon list, not a real punk rock top 100.
As a general punk ranking this feels extremely NYC-critic brain.
And I’m saying this as someone who actually listen to most of the stuff Rolling Stone is pushing here.

Seeing DR in that list is so strange! But I love it haha

I've never listened to Turnstile, or if I did, I don't remember them. Quite honestly, I don't take this list to be anything more than a chance for them to formulate a template for mostly quintessential picks, some newer canonized punk albums, and newer bands/artists to get maximum attention.

But yeah, I knew this list was bullshit when a Paramore album showed up.

I appreciate Sleater Kinney and X-Ray Spex making it so high up though. Minutemen is one band i never really got. Damaged by Black Flag being on any list is ridiculous and Americans and their hard on for Singles Going Steady is annoying.
