She released a cryptic word puzzle and one of the names involved is Phoebe Bridgers.

idk man, the original is just so good. I like the context and extra bits this provides, but the punch of the original lyrics stands stronger on its own, in my opinion.

The original is also on the album, rerecorded of course. This is kind of a bonus track

Yeah, I still like the shorter version better, but I gasped at this line...

I was never good at telling jokes, but the punch line goes, "I'll get older, but your lovers stay my age."

Was so excited for this but so let down. It's great and all, but the OG version is just vague enough to be relatable to anyone yet specific enough to tell a great story. Also the new verses whilst great and all just feel like a goddamn mess to me, none of them sounded like each other. they just felt like a collection of notes/ideas that were just chucked in for the sake of it. Having said that, I've only listened to it once and it's a LOT to take in so...

Good question...if it's an album full of songs written while sitting around drunk at midnight (an incredible premise), I'm not sure the Folklore sound will work. Something more electronic? What kind drunk is she? Hyper? Sad? Trippy? A lot of directions this could go.

The picture on the back give me a sad vibe. Beyond sad, more like an SSRI commercial. I agree that she's probably moving on from the folklore/evermore sound though.
