What the fuck has happened to this band?

It's now official this band died back in 2004. Such a shame.

Nah, Neighborhoods was a logical step 8 years attached from Untitled, and Dogs Eating Dogs they were onto making some of their best shit (shame we never got a full album produced that way).

I always thought their music was a mess since they rejoined. They had some good ideas here and there with songs, but most of the album sounded out of place. You never felt like it was a typical Blink-182 album.

Judging by this new song, it's going to be the same old bullshit. Blink always had a distinct sound, but we've never really had it since 2003.

I am wondering if Blink's strategy is to release progressively shitter music to make previous work sound better.

Because I am going to be honest, I had California on today in my car and the fucking thing is a masterpiece compared to this. In fact the only song I felt was on par with this piece of trash was the song "California" which is an instant skipper.

Tellin ya, blare it loud in your car. It’s a grower. Forget about Tom for a minute and just enjoy it as a fun summer tune.

The “it’s too late, can you forgive me now?” part gives me chills and Trav’s drums behind that part are the Untitled vibes he refers to.

The louder I play it the more my ears bleed.

Then delete it and go listen to Cinderella?

My point is when you crank it up you can actually hear some great bass/drum work that make it even better IMO. And believe me, my first listen was a “wtf is this?” response...

Yeah I’ve listened to it probably 7-10 times today and it’s just not my thing. The bridge and chorus ruin it for me. Verses are decent though! Matt sounds awesome.

I honestly prefer Rebel Girl but both songs aren’t anything special.

A good song is good whether you listen to it with shitty laptop speakers or professional audio equipment. The latter will obviously improve the listening experience, but it's not going to change the lyrics, melody, chord progression, etc.
