that's a reference to a historical poster style which is quite famous. but the gradient is a bit lazy at only one color, and the type choices are not authentic.

the original technology for printing such a gradient is called "split fountain" :

the printer in los angeles who popularized the style in the 1960s through the 1980s was the colby poster printing co. :

Yeah, it's really just the gradient that kills me. The type and overall layout looks fine!

This is pretty lazy trolling lol. The dude has never said anything racist on here and is obviously referring to the jarring contrast of genres, seems like a cash grab tbh. Plus he’s Canadian so by default he should be considered less racist.

he’s definitely at a frustrating place for me as a fan. i’ve said in older posts that in interviews he seems more guarded and ready to give soundbites than honest answers. seems like the years of tom dragging him down broke him a little, and when he deemed his experiment with matt a failure, he regressed and made a throwback record with songwriters. he said he got depressed after the california tour, and i can only surmise because he realized that the whole thing with matt and the grammy nod and the songwriters feels mad empty. there’s also been the rumor he’s an alcoholic too, though i’m not sure how true that is. either way, as a fan, it feels like he’s in a very weird spot right now

Seems like a mid-life crisis. His was probably delayed because of all the wealth and fame from a young age. He’s probably just coming down to reality now lol.

I think this most of the times I go into the Tom Delonge Meltdown Thread.

Yeah I dunno if I'd ever say Tom melted down so much as he just lost much of his mind there.  I think he's certainly doing better now in that regard, but it still seems to have had a negative effect on much of his life.  Especially as it seems that it may have cost his marriage, though to be fair that does remain as speculation.

Tom definitely has melted down.

Mark, maybe not so much. But the whole recontact on Tom after this Lil Wayne shit was definitely meltdown territory.
