Meltdown Tracker
Canada produces a lot of good indie rock bands...and not much else. Japandroids, the Arcade Fire, Tegan and Sara, Death from Above, Metric, Matt Mays, Dear Rouge, Stars, the New Pornographers, Feist, Broken Social Scene, etc.
Meltdown Tracker
Also, the Beaches are pretty underrated. I wasn’t a huge fan for a while, but I did a 180 after seeing them live. All of them can shred and the chick has a great voice, I was really impressed. One of the better shows I’ve seen over the last few years. I haven't listened to or even thought of Moneen in (apparently) over a decade. That took me way back! The throwback reminded me of another Canadian band, the Flatliners. Adrianm14
Living With Lions is probably my favourite Canadian pop punk band besides Sum 41. Especially the older stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYwgB4n1Wfk
Thibaut182
Reset (Pierre and Chuck went on to form Simple Plan) Very underrated band from the 90's skate-punk scene !
Meltdown Tracker
My neighbour growing up used to play bass in a ska band called Crowned King, they were alright.

Apparently they started by selling CDs out of the back of their truck in the farm lands, so respect for building your band from the ground up (like Blink did). One of my buddies recorded in the same studio as the band and the producer said Chad Krueger nails all his vocals in the first try or so (music is terrible, but that's still kind of impressive). They also apparently put on a good live show, I wouldn't know since I would never spend money to see them lol. They just write such terrible music. Also heard a rumour that Chad Krueger stuck a beer bottle up a chick at the Roxy night club, can't confirm if it was consensual or not. Meltdown Tracker
Matthew Good Band seems like a band that a lot of people outside Canada wouldn't recognize. He's kind of like Canada's less good Radiohead, at least a lot of his acoustic stuff is similar tonally. Or their more rock side:
Meltdown Tracker
Anyone not familiar with Matt Mays should check this song out. The outro is stupidly awesome. I definitely hear some Tom Petty influence in a lot of his music.
