Originally it was some other bloke called ‘zeke’ but Jason Tate backed it up. He started the website absolutepunk back in the day and now runs and started chorus.fm . If he’s saying it’s 49 seconds there’s a good chance it is.

I honestly don’t mind a 49 second song but like Cheerios said earlier it’s shit when they waste these good ideas on such small songs instead of fully fleshing them out.

Does anyone else think releasing this song was never really the plan but they want to get the people that hated BIOMY onside again and they feel releasing a raw sounding 49 second punk song seemed like a quick (literally) and easy win for them?

Yeah, their short joke songs all have some potential, this one was promising because it has some sort of HAG/+44 sound so I hoped we'd get a little more than just 49 seconds.

Well fuck this better be pretty good or I hope he’s wrong. I said earlier that I don’t get why they waste the good songs by being short. I guess it might be easier to write shorter songs but like someone said, it’s easier to write a fleshed-out song than to write a short song and try not to add more to it. Someone else said it would be weird to do a music video for the songs if it’s so short but it makes sense in a way where they just have to play a song live for 49 seconds and boom you’re done lol.

My First Punk Song is technically a joke song, is longer than 49 seconds, and is fucking killer. I don't see it being similar if they don't have 'joke songs' on this record, but MFPS was also not released as a single either.
