Tod (Weezer's biggest fan)
It's not as good as Weezer's ninth album I'll tell you that much. Be so kind as to add that to the poll options please and thank you mauguywhatever.
daveyjones
after several listens i like neighborhoods better than nine but i like nine better than cali / cali deluxe.
jordidanen95
I absolutely love the electronic stuff, trap hip-hop beats, flanger guitars The vocal melodies are also way better than anything on cali, also more personality. I really have no flaws for the actual songs, total bangers i do have a few flaws - A modern problem, still too compressed for my taste. I like glossy, just not compressed - All instruments sound awesome but the regular distorted rhythm guitar is to digital sounding I'm not really bothered by it itself. I'm bothered that the band as professional musicians in the alternative/rock scene are actually fine with this, they must be aware of this ongoing change in recent years
Jan Backing Track
I wish I could see Ghent's reaction everytime he sees the complaint 'too compressed'
Dylan_
After a few listens it’s a solid album! A lot more enjoyable then California that’s for sure. It is a little stale in places though and a few songs I’ll probably skip most of the time but all in all I’m digging the direction they went with this album.

If electronica is Mark's new thing, blink should sound more like that record and less like whatever they're doing now.

It was still a guitar-driven band.

I dunno if it's laziness, writer's block or just obsessed with trying to chart by just following the current trend. There's moments on Nine where i'm like "Fuck yes!" and rocking out and then there's a lot of "eh blah."

Meltdown Tracker
First 2-3 listens of the album: everything kind of sounds similar and blends together. After 7-8 listens: definitely more overall strengths than California.
