Many great bands have influenced tons and tons of shitty bands, blink for sure influenced a lot bands i wish stayed in their garage but then there's the good bands like fall out boy, Paramore and PATD that released some absolute bangers back in the day. I know i made a big rant in my previous post mostly because a lot bs has been said in this thread and i had no time to quote them but i think i gave a good answer to the question with some points to back up my claims. Green Day is the bigger product indeed (keyword being product) but blink made the most impact and is far more influential which makes them the bigger and better band in my opinion. Panic and Paramore suck lol 1 Quote

Yeah that's why I found it a weird comment to be like "they're the same level" they really are not. Longview alone proves that, and that one's not even hard - just way more complex than Mark can ever manage. Think he'd have a heart attack if he had to play that on stage. Carousel fucking wrecks him and it's mostly power chords shapes. 1 Quote

Would probably sound something like Matt trying to play Whats my age again 1 Quote
thongrider Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 I'm sure Mark is a better bassist than he pretends to be. Quote

thongrider Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 I think Fall out Boy were way more influenced by gd than Blink. Quote

I'm surprised you mentioned Fat Mike, most people exclude him ... for all his faults he's a great bassist. Matt Freeman is spectacular as well. Quote

This. I’ll go a step further and state that the whole band as a unit play most of the bands in the genre under the table. Quote
