Maddey Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 New Hot Mully 🥰 I love it but find it a slight bit too much with the guest artist on top of everything else. Anyway the upcoming HM album is gonna save my autumn for sure. Also just recently discovered Arm’s Lenght, which is more on the emo side but they’re really good. Love this song especially: 1 Quote

Love this song especially: I don't know many Arm's Length songs but I love Funny Face, Object Permanence, Tough Love and In Loving Memory, they're on my summer playlist. Now I'm adding Aries to it. 1 Quote

What Are You A Cop, Funny Face, Nobody’s, Anthem, A Part Is Better Than Zero, 777, Stop Talking, Lifers, Where I Lay. At the end of July I had to proofread pages and pages of documents at work and I kept that playlist in the background. I wasn’t focused on the music, but at least I took a break from listening to Oasis and old music like Sinatra/Dean Martin all the time 😂 Quote
Jan Mortensen Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 I Want To Disappear was definitely one of the better releases in a long time, quickly became one of my favorite pop punk/emo albums and surprised me. Every song is great, really like how it’s mixed. I used to not really like the vocals with story so far but they grew on me. One of those bands that just got better over time imo. 2 Quote

The songs Dirge and Formative Age are also very good. 6 minutes ago, j a n said: I Want To Disappear was definitely one of the better releases in a long time, quickly became one of my favorite pop punk/emo albums and surprised me. Nice that they’ve grown on you! I’ve been fan for a decade and love everything they’ve released but I still think I Want To Disappear is the best they’ve done. What You Don’t See being close second. 2 Quote

I’ve had about 8 different songs off that album be my favorite at any one time. Sign of a great album that will stand the test of time. 1 Quote
Maddey Posted August 8, 2025 Posted August 8, 2025 Okay so I’m obsessed with these guys now. They are so good?? I’ve been listening through all their stuff now and they haven’t got one single song I don’t like. Absolutely love this one: 1 Quote

I've tried to get into their music but its just not for me 1 Quote
Elisa Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 The new Joyce Manor song is beautiful. It sounds a little bit like The Smiths: 1 Quote

boxelder Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 great song. love the stripped-down style but was a little surprised at how plain it is (chord-wise. not that they're reinventing the wheel, it's just exceptionally ordinary for them). that said, i really do love the acoustic instrumentation and production. according to the credits, they got the big guns working on it (tom lord-alge, ted jensen). a little surprised! wonder if we're on the precipice of a new era for them. I bet Travis produced it too. It's good/catchy, but I'm just gonna say it Travis & Feldmann destroyed pop punk by pimping it out/whoring it out like they have. Now it's just every song the same formula/style/breakdown/bridge/chorus/flanger drum/blowup doll joke/bla bla like holy shit. Get some fucking creativity you guys might as well be robots (Travis & co.). At least Feldmann just sticks to that cheesy California surf rock thing. Travis is just a straight AI machine and I'm 90% sure he uses it at this point to 'write' songs. It's not inspirational at all. And no it's not being an old head, Story So Far are still a relatively newer band and they came up with an incredibly creative and unique style and album that is not repetitive or a replicant at all. 1 Quote
Jan Mortensen Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 Backstreet Boys had more creativity. No disrespect to this band though, they look like they are just having fun. 1 Quote

It is an impression with MGK, I just feel like it was done right/well with Tickets. He was just coming out of Rap - semi known rapper, Travis hadn't done this 1,000 other times yet. MGK + his friends I thought did a good job all around to make it feel like a proper homage to pop punk genre he probably grew up with like we did. With how shitty NINE and whatever Green Day was doing it felt like the right time for a proper homage. Everything after has felt much like the same thing and just impersonating. 1 Quote
