Slipperypoofromsombrero
So I thought for whatever reason that the TD 333 Epiphone came with Grover locking tuners stock. After a couple of weeks with my new one, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Does anyone know if the Grover locking tuners are a perfect fit for replacing? I don’t want to make any new holes. Just a simple swap out. Edit: it currently is equipped with the Grover die-cast tuners (non-locking). Playing it at least an hour a day for two weeks and it’s still going out of tune at an alarming rate (that’s why I assume they’re standard and not locking tuners). mil182
You should be able to do a direct swap with locking grovers that are 3+3. To be honest I’ve had this same guitar for 7 years and it stays in tune great. I put some pencil led in the nut before restringing, stretched my strings and never have any issues with those tuners. However, they should be a direct swap with grover’s “Roto-grip” locking tuners as long as they’re “3+3”
