Her solo stuff is not for me

SFAFC is massively overrated, never understood the love for that one. 

I'm not huge on her solo efforts, she's not an interesting enough guitarist to pull it off, but I do prefer this EP to what she released last year, feels like she's pulled back a little from the meandering melody lines which, although I didn't hate, got a bit much. 

Looking forward to a proper new AG album though. I loved shape shift with me.

Sfafc has hardly any filler (except the whining about selling out).

Everything after that isn't trash but i can do with 3-4 songs off each album. For the solo stuff I loved harsh realms but after that it's mostly ok. Which isn't enough.  They were supposed to save punk rock 

They're just one band, that wasn't going to happen. 

Punk has always been a "fuck what you expect" genre, and fair play to them, they've always done what they felt like, and I respect that. 

I don't like SFAFC. I got into Against Me much later, heard all the fuss, went to listen to it and just... Eehh. I've tried it over and over, just doesn't work for me.

I just put on what I think is their best album in White Crosses and man, this album is so damn good. 

I agree with @Kay though, I loved shapeshift as well, and Stabitha Christie is great as well, and Black me out from transgender is damn great too.

It was such a red flag that they got married after only knowing each other for a month or two. They were both clearly in the throes of some kind of mental health episode when they got together and it seems like one, if not both, are having mental health issues now too. I'm more inclined to believe Paris at the moment because LJG's response to these heavy accusations has felt like gaslighting. Whatever's going on, they clearly need to spend some time away from each other (and should probably just end things tbh) and stop posting on social media.

Speaking of people with allegations, I recently read that the anti-flag guy sold his house in PA and ran to Ireland to avoid his rape charges because he has double citizenship. What a piece of shit.

Yeah, I read it this morning and it’s the point of view of a third party (coworker) who is dismissing everything Laura’s wife said. Maybe the full truth is somewhere more in the middle, but it’s clear the relationship is messy and toxic on both sides and I don’t think any of this needed to be made public.

It's sort of scary to me how the consensus changes so fast. I feel like everyone was like "I've known ljg was terrible for years" and now it's more like "I knew Paris was the villain all along "

You’re right, Laura says she’s sorry for her screw-ups but then she tosses in some nameless witness to clear her of any wrongdoing and this is not the best way to go about it I think?
