It's kinda crazy how much better they sound live than like all the other punk rock bands out there..

Part of it is they don’t overproduce their albums. When you have so many effects on your album, you’re never gonna pull it off live.

I was gonna mention Lifetime but went with Saves the Day since they basically just ripped off their sound in the earlier years.

Yeah.

The father: Lifetime
The son: probably Crime in Stereo or Latterman
The holy spirit: Saves the Day

Wait, was this your whole list?

NFG

Alkaline Trio

MxPx

Screeching Weasel

NOFX

Saves the Day

Lifetime

Lagwagon

Descendents

Rancid

Some of these are questionably not pop punk IMO (Rancid, Fat Mike considers NOFX a melodic hardcore band) but it's tough when blink and green day are out lol.

I keep going back and forth between wanting to throw in a list but then not being very passionate about pop punk or genre arguments :(

Ah well, here are my favorites from when I was most into pop-punk. I don't know who counts or doesn't count as pop-punk but whatever:

Blink
Green Day
Motion City Soundtrack
MxPx
Sum 41
New Found Glory
Saves The Day

Rancid
The Ramones

John Feldmann

he would post a pic of the sandwich in his story with a caption like "I'm so proud of the work I did on this sandwich for Flavortown!", taking all of the credit just for being the room

Lol, I mentioned him because he’s a hardcore Vegan, and used to be a super asshole to anyone who wasn’t
